Michael was appointed to the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency by former Mayor Ben Walsh, where he was elected Board Treasurer. A 2025 graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse, he shares financial know-how through community seminars and a weekly radio segment.

As CenterState CEO Ambassadors, we are often part of presentations of all sorts to celebrate and uplift the businesses and organizations in CNY. Then there are times like this, where we get to see the actions taken to fight a crisis affecting the real humans we see in our community every day. These are the moments I live for as an ambassador. A Tiny Home for Good is expanding its work to provide safe, affordable and permanent housing for people who have experienced homelessness in Syracuse. The nonprofit recently broke ground on its latest housing project as it continues to grow beyond its original tiny-home model, developing and renovating a range of housing options across the city to meet increasing community needs.

Founded with a mission to end homelessness one person at a time, A Tiny Home for Good pairs housing with ongoing support to help residents build stability and remain successfully housed. The organization’s continued growth is adding permanent housing options at a time when Syracuse is working to address homelessness and housing affordability.

CenterState CEO’s Ambassadors, presented by Sidney Federal Credit Union, were proud to recognize A Tiny Home for Good with a certificate presentation at the groundbreaking.

Congrats to my guys Matt & Alex and the whole Spatchcock Funk team! You’d be hard-pressed to find others as genuine as these guys (and that can cook up a party like they can 😎). Honored to have been able to present your certificate celebrating the opening of your new studio. Looking forward to the future parties there (and to a certain upcoming camping episode 😃🏕️)!

These are the reasons why financial planning for families experiencing these situations require heightened focus and understanding.
