If you’re currently taking Accutane (isotretinoin), waxing is a BIG no-no. 🚫

Accutane can make your skin much thinner, drier, and more sensitive than usual. That means when wax grabs the hair, it can also lift or tear the skin, causing irritation, scabbing, or even potential scarring. 😭

And trust us… smooth skin is never worth losing skin. 😂

Pleaseeee tell your waxer about any medications or skincare products you’re using before your appointment even if you don’t think they matter. We’re not being nosy, we’re keeping that pretty skin safe. 🫶🏼

If you’re taking Accutane, talk with your prescribing provider about when it’s safe for you to resume waxing after stopping it before booking.

Being nervous is totally normal but I promise, it’s probably not nearly as scary as you’ve built it up to be. 😂💕 Here are a few tips to make your first Brazilian go as smoothly as possible:

🌸 Let it grow!
Aim for about 2 weeks of growth or roughly the length of a grain of rice. Put. The. Razor. Down. 👀

🌸 Exfoliate the day before
A gentle exfoliation can help remove dead skin and prep the area. Nothing aggressive!

🌸 Shower beforehand if you can
Come clean and fresh, but skip heavy lotions, oils, or creams on the area.

🌸 Wear something comfy
Loose pants, shorts, or a dress = your best friend afterward. Tight leggings immediately after? Maybe not. 😂

🌸 Don’t stress about what you look like
Hair, stretch marks, scars, body shape… I have seen it ALL. There is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about in my wax room.

🌸 Yes, it might hurt but it’s QUICK
The first wax is usually the toughest because the hair is thicker and you don’t know what to expect. Staying consistent can make future appointments feel much easier.

🌸 BREATHE & RELAX
I’ll talk you through everything, tell you where to position yourself, and make sure you’re comfortable the entire time. You don’t have to know what you’re doing that’s MY job. 💗

“Do I need to shower right before my appointment?”
Clean skin is always appreciated, but you don’t have to panic if you’re coming straight from work. We’re professionals, babe. 🤍

“What if I’m sweaty?”
You’re human. It’s Alabama. We understand. 😂

“What if I have a lot of hair?”
Perfect… that’s literally why you’re here. 😂 Please don’t apologize for having hair at a WAXING appointment.

“Do I have to take EVERYTHING off for a Brazilian?”
From the waist down, typically yes but we’ll walk you through everything and keep you comfortable.

“Are you judging what I look like down there?”
Absolutely not. We see bodies all day long. Different shapes, sizes, skin tones, hair patterns none of it is weird to us.

“What if I accidentally fart?”
We pretend it never happened. You pretend it never happened. 🤝😂

“What if I’m on my period?”
You can still get waxed! Just wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup and keep in mind you may be a little more sensitive.

“What if my body… reacts?”
Bodies have involuntary reactions sometimes. We stay professional, move right along and don’t make it weird.

“Do you wax the b***y too?”
YES. 🍑 A Brazilian typically includes the front AND between the cheeks. And honestly? That part is usually way easier than people expect.

“Can I have s*x right after?”
Give it at least 24 hours. Your freshly waxed skin needs a little recovery time before friction, sweat and bacteria enter the chat. 😂
