Session #1 for my new guest 🩷 I can’t wait for the next session. This client wanted grey blending and did 👏🏼 not 👏🏼 get 👏🏼 it 🫪 SO, this was a mostly a back to back foil using 20volume on the root and 6&10 on the mid/ends. Some of her hair is compromised so I also did a k18 treatment and CAREFULLY foiled •That is why it will be multiple sessions• Luckily she keeps this cute and funky bob so the compromised hair will grow out quickly 🙌🏼 and then we will continue on her grey blending journey 🩶 I blended with a cool, dark lowlight (7Na/7Vb 2:1) and a neutral lowlight (9M) painted between some foils to help blend 👌

Let’s talk about it 🔊 I learned this approximately 50 years ago, when I started my career. I have used it for approximately 75 years 😉 to help clients with a sensitive scalp. The main ingredient in Sweet N Low it saccharin. For hair color, when is comes to itchiness, some of us add it to our formulas to help reduce scalp irritation and itching during dyeing **though this practice is not widely scientifically validated** —just 75 years of it working, in my own experience. Saccharin will affect the alkalinity of the hair color. Sometimes causing it to be less irritating. Have you had success with it? Have you tried it? Let me know!

Transformation in the form of a haircut ✂️ my dear friend Marco Sanchez wanted a style change, and did he get it??

Who else learned that you have to sit tall and straight to have an even hair cut? 🙋‍♀️. Guess what? Its BU****IT. What about guests with scoliosis? One shoulder higher than the other? Your stylist SHOULD be checking and rechecking the haircut over and over again. So sit however you want. Cross those legs, babe! Be comfy. 🩷

Lil lavender ombré for a happy hump day 💜 I was OUT of Pulp Riot Hair Color Lilac so I made this custom shade with Blush, Blue Tux, a bit of Ghostblood, Clear and the teeniest bit of Lilac that I had left (literally .3oz 🫣😂). I gotta say, I cooked 🤌🏻

Love your balayage boards but get frustrated by the foil slipping? (Yes, even when you fold the end down😒) This was a GAME CHANGER for me! I don’t know if I invented it or not, and I don’t care 🫰🏼 it helped me and I KNOW it will help someone else. Have you tried it?

Behold the “Beta Mommy Majesty”This girly used to be a solid blue. Over the years we have migrated to purple, different variations of blue and purple.

She sent me this picture of a beta fish as her inspiration. I asked her what her budget was and told her that I would do my best to get the red that red. When I removed the purple, it was the funkiest green color, and I was praying to the Hair gods the whole time. And y’all, I did it! Sometimes this industry can really kick you when you’re down, and this is such a high point. I had a color mistake a couple of weeks ago that had me questioning my life, since I’ve been doing this for 15 years.
Today, has fixed my confidence!
