One thing many people don’t realize is that even skin that looks smooth and youthful can reveal its true characteristics once an artist begins working on it.

With mature skin, I commonly encounter:
• Thin, delicate, and sensitive skin, which often results in temporary redness immediately after the procedure. This is completely normal and typically subsides within a day or two. As the skin heals, the color will also soften and settle into a more natural shade.
• Unpredictable pigment retention. Dry skin can heal darker than expected, while skin that bleeds more easily may heal lighter. This is why I always use a balanced, standard pigment formula for first-time clients. At the touch-up appointment, I customize the pigment formula based on how your skin healed, ensuring the most natural and long-lasting results.

Every client’s skin is unique, and permanent makeup is never a one-size-fits-all treatment. Beautiful healed results come from understanding your skin and customizing the process every step of the way. 🤍
