Your massage doesn’t need a demolition crew.
You’ll hear “breaking up adhesions” used to explain what happens during massage. Could tissue changes be part of the picture? Possibly. But feeling better afterward doesn’t tell us exactly what changed.
I can tell you what we worked on, what you noticed, and whether moving feels easier. I can’t tell you I broke apart an adhesion just because a spot feels less tight.
There’s still plenty we’re learning. I’d rather be honest about that than give you a confident explanation I can’t back up.
I respect your opinion. My face may need a minute. 😂
Seriously though, massage isn’t everyone’s thing. And if your last experience involved too much pressure and silently waiting for it to end, I understand the hesitation.
On my table, you get a say. Pressure, positioning, conversation… tell me what works for you.
Surprise locals, are you counting down to your next massage or still wondering what all the fuss is about?
IIf your neck and shoulders have been carrying more than their share lately, you’re not the only one.
Work, school schedules, practices, errands, appointments… somehow all of it likes to show up right between the shoulder blades.
Fall break is coming.
Might be a good time to deal with that tension before your “break” turns into driving everyone everywhere.
Massage isn’t about fixing everything in one session.
Sometimes it’s just about helping your body move and feel a little better before the next busy stretch starts.

A lot of people wait until their body is loud before they book.
By then, the session becomes damage control.
Regular massage can be useful for staying ahead of tension, keeping mobility from sliding downhill, and helping active adults recover before everything feels like a personal betrayal.
You do not have to be in crisis to take care of your body.
Save this if you’re trying to stay active without constantly negotiating with your joints.

Apparently, answering emails requires your shoulders to be at ear level.
If your neck and shoulders feel stiff after a day at the desk, try a simple break:
• Get up and walk for a minute or two.
• Let your arms hang comfortably.
• Add a few easy shoulder rolls and gentle head turns.
Keep it comfortable. You’re taking a break, not testing your range of motion.
I remind my desk-working clients here in Surprise: you don’t need perfect posture. Give yourself more chances to change positions.
Save this for tomorrow’s workday. Want some focused attention for those shoulders? Book with me at vitalkneads.net/booking.
You can absolutely wait until your body starts yelling.
I’d just prefer we have the conversation while it’s still speaking at a reasonable volume.
Massage isn’t about chasing every ache or “fixing” you. For a lot of active adults, regular bodywork can simply be one part of keeping you moving comfortably and noticing problems before they become the only thing you can think about.
