I understand it’s tempting to stack
treatments and to push as hard as you can to get where you wanna go, but you might be better off separating the peel and the micro needling to get sustainable results.
The client is bleeding because the depth of microneedling has surpassed the papillary dermis, a layer of the skin that has blood vessels.
A more aggressive treatment does not always produce a better result, sometimes just an increased inflammatory period.
Applying a peel after a microneedling can certainly be done, but with a significantly higher risk profile for hyperpigmentation.
After an aggressive microneedling, it is also best practice to avoid any products applied to the skin for 12 to 24 hours to minimize the risk for foreign body granulomas. Foreign body granulomas are a very real complication that can be experienced years after a microneedling treatment where foreign substances that make it into the skin cause a granuloma in the tissue.
If you wanna get micro needling done and a TCA peel consider separating them by at least 4-6 weeks for the best result and significantly lower risk of adverse reactions.
