Costa Mesa just wrapped the world’s biggest sand sports weekend, and KICKER was all over it. The XRV rolled into Lot I at the DRT Motorsports Sand Sports Super Show, powered by RPM, Sept. 18-20 at the OC Fair & Event Center. Mike Howe’s 55-foot Super Kraken from DSK Marine runs more than 120 KICKER Marine components from bow to stern. Helm, living spaces, kitchen, flybridge, sundecks, and cabins all play. LED speaker rings light the boat up after dark.

Handlebars without a fairing still deserve real music. The KICKER PSM3 Mini-Enclosed Speakers clamp on and put clear sound right at the rider. Each pod packs a 3-inch full-range driver rated at 50 watts RMS (100 watts peak) so vocals and midrange stay intelligible through a helmet, wind, and engine noise. Weather-proof construction uses a polymer basket, heavy-duty ceramic magnet, and waterproof suspension so rain, mud, and spray don’t kill the soundtrack.

A single-point cast-aluminum clamp locks onto 7/8-inch, 1-inch, or 1-1/4-inch bars and resists vibration on the trail or the highway. At about 20 ounces apiece they add almost no weight and don’t change how the bike or quad handles. Built-in weather-resistant speaker wire and mounting shims keep the install straightforward.

Factory radios don’t just turn the bass down. They high-pass the signal, pile on EQ, and flatten the low end so cheap stock speakers don't crumble. The KEY500.1 is the amp that puts accuracy back into the signal chain.

It’s a mono amplifier and DSP in the same chassis. Play KICKER’s test tones, press the button, and the auto EQ measures the incoming signal, pulls down the peaks, and restores the bass extension the radio removed. What you hear is a linear and even low-frequency response instead of a scooped factory curve with a sub hanging off the bottom of it.

Power is 150 watts RMS at 4 ohms, 300 at 2 ohms, and 500 at 1 ohm, with the control to use it cleanly. A 24 dB low-pass sweeps from 40 to 160 Hz, the subsonic filter runs 10 to 40 Hz, and gain plus bass boost stay available when you want to finish the tune by ear. DC-offset auto turn-on and start-stop compatibility keep the install smooth in late-model cars, trucks, and SUVs.

Keep the factory radio. Give the system a high-fidelity low end that stays tight, balanced, and musical.
