🌱 Plant the seed. Build the pipeline.
I’m excited to help bring NOSA and the Black EyeCare Perspective Pre-Optometry Club together for a conversation centered on supporting the next generation of optometry students.
As optometry students, we have a unique opportunity to reach back while moving forward, showing aspiring optometrists that they are represented, they belong in this profession, and there is a community ready to help them succeed.
Representation. Mentorship. Community. The pipeline starts long before optometry school.
Proud to play a role in creating spaces that make the path to optometry feel more visible, accessible, and possible. 👁️🤎

How Glaucoma Affects the Angle Structures
The complex, fragile process of aqueous production and drainage is at the heart of disease development and clinical intervention.
From internal to external, the anatomy of the anterior chamber angle is defined by a series of structures: Schwalbe’s line (the peripheral termination of Descemet’s membrane), the trabecular meshwork, the scleral spur (the anterior-most projection of the sclera and attachment point for the trabecular meshwork and ciliary muscle), ciliary body band (the anterior-most point of the ciliary body) and then the iris root (the attachment of the iris to the ciliary body). Identifying these structures is critical in clinical practice.

Third year has been nothing short of FUN because I finally have a ROUTINE that I love. 🕰️I’m loving every moment of who I’m becoming, what I’m learning in my specialty rotations and how much I get to grow on a daily basis. Thank GOD. 🥹💗

What’s the diagnosis?
Receive advice ? Consider the source.
Receive feedback ? Consider the source.
Receive praise ? Consider the source.
In all things, seek wisdom, but consider the source of said wisdom. 📚💡
