WHAT I ACTUALLY USE BEHIND THE CHAIR 💈

Clients don’t owe us their loyalty. They earned their money, and they have every right to spend it with whatever barber they choose.
If somebody leaves your chair and goes to another barber, don’t take it personal. Our job is to give people a reason to WANT to come back, not make them feel obligated to.
The client has a choice. Always respect that.

🚨One thing about being a Master Barber is knowing how to read your client. One visit we might talk the whole haircut, the next time you come in you might not feel like talking at all. And I have to know the difference. Sometimes the best service I can give you is a great haircut and some peace and quiet. Knowing when to talk, when to listen and when to just let somebody be is part of mastering this craft. It’s bigger than cutting hair. You gotta know people.

Today was a good day! Had the opportunity to vend at New Life Church and represent TCM. The event was a success. Met a lot of great people, made some solid connections, and got to introduce the TCM Collection to some new faces.
Grateful for every conversation, every connection, and everybody who supported today.

13 years sober today. 🙏🏾
This picture means more to me now than it did when I took it. Back then I was doing party promotions. Four weeks before this picture, I had an encounter with God that changed my life. He delivered me from alcohol.
I already had this event planned, so this was my first time back outside. First time back around alcohol. First time back in that environment. And I had no desire to drink.
That was 13 years ago.
There were so many times drinking could’ve taken me somewhere I never came back from. But God saw fit to give me another route.
Today I’m addicted to being clean. Addicted to having a sober mind, clear thinking and a free spirit.
I don’t really count the days anymore. I just live. But this picture came across my memories and reminded me how far God has brought me.
13 years clean. 13 years sober. 13 years free.
I guess that makes me a teenager in sobriety now. 😂🙏🏾
Still standing. Still grateful. To God be the glory.
