"No pain, no gain," right? Not exactly. Some soreness is normal and even a sign of progress β€” but not all of it. Here's how to tell the difference.

Soreness that's usually fine:
βœ… Shows up a day or two after a new or harder workout
βœ… Feels like general muscle tenderness, not sharp pain
βœ… Eases up as you move and fades within a few days

Soreness worth a second look:
⚠️ Sticks around longer than 2 weeks
⚠️ Gets worse instead of better
⚠️ Flares with specific movements you used to do easily
⚠️ Makes you change how you walk, lift, or train to avoid it

Good soreness builds you up. The other kind is worth catching early β€” before it turns into months of compensating.

Not sure which kind you're dealing with? Save this post and send us a DM β€” we'll help you figure out the next step.

Ice or heat? You've probably been reaching for the wrong one. 🧊πŸ”₯

πŸ’Ύ Save this for the next time you tweak something, and tag someone who ices literally everything.

⚠️ General info, not medical advice. Sharp pain, can't put weight on it, or not improving after a few days? Go see a physio or doctor.

You don't have to be injured to need PT. πŸ™Œ

Most people wait way too long β€” pushing through pain, stretching it out, hoping it just goes away. Sometimes it does. Often it doesn't, and the longer it lingers, the longer recovery takes.

Here are 5 signs it's time to get checked out:

1️⃣ Pain that's hung around more than 2 weeks
2️⃣ You're skipping activities you love because of how your body feels
3️⃣ An old injury that keeps coming back
4️⃣ Stiffness, weakness, or balance that just feels off
5️⃣ You're gearing up for a season, a surgery, or a big goal

PT isn't only about fixing what's broken β€” it's about moving better, getting stronger, and staying in the game. πŸ’ͺ

See yourself in one of these? Send us a DM or book a discounted evaluation with the link in our bio and let's figure out what's going on together. Springville, we've got you. πŸ”οΈ
