Hey Friends, so this is something VERY important to me. Y'all know I don't post politics here unless it's something directly correlated to my industry.
When voting tomorrow, I find it of the utmost importance to vote NO on Amendment 5.
If passed, this is something that would give legislatures the power to impose taxes on services, & higher taxes on goods. Meaning - your hair services would raise & buying products would raise even higher. Not just hair, but getting taxed on everything from plumbing, auto repair, getting your taxes done, etc. This only hurts local businesses, middle to lower economic class incomes, & those on fixed incomes like our elderly.
A Day in my Salon Life, As Narrated by my Husband

Over the past few days I've been in California. This trip started off with a master class from celebrity stylist Clayton Hawkins. We learned some temporary extension application tips, styling, social media, & so much more!
Day 2 was a DevaCurl day where we went through Level 1 certification in their curly cutting method. Having them as a sister brand to SexyHair has been such a blessing. The educators have become quick friends & I love seeing them!
Day 3 was presentation day for the 2027 Collection Competition. I'm so proud of my friends who presented their hard work, & putting themselves out there. It's nerve wracking creating something that means a lot to you & sharing that with others to literally judge you. Lol In the same breath though, it makes you proud to create cool things & share it with your friends.

Summertime Blonde!
I love to call this a moderate maintenance look. We accomplished a brighter blonde, but something that still grows out beautifully at 10-12 weeks. For this, I do a mix of balayage, traditional foiling, & teeny-fine baby-lights.
6 months prior, Hannah wanted to go darker, so we took her mostly back to her natural hair tone. Silly me didn't take a picture before this service, because dang it if it still didn't look good!! Lol
In preparation for her appt, I saw an ad for DIFF Their model had such a gorgeous blonde, & I texted it to Hannah. She also agreed this HAD to be our inspiration! Goldwell US is my best friend here with lightening & toning.

My Ending Times will be firmer. These are times I'm trying to be completely done by. Examples would be my last haircut spot on a Wed or Thurs would be 5:15/5:30 or simple root color spot would be 4 or 4:30.
Yes, I know a few of you take me just a little longer to do because you're a color/highlight, don't fret/stress! These time frames are standard based things. Sometimes chemical services go wonky & I will do everything in my power to adjust. There are also times where this will adjust based on when I take days off. This will be talked about when booking ahead.
Yes, I am always willing to work with people when emergencies/illnesses happen, within reason. Please be willing to work with me when I have these too.
As always, please reach out if you have any concerns or questions. I really am happy to answer them. Thank you for taking time to read this. I felt it important to bring out this discussion.
Procedure done & back home. It went well. Just feel like I got hit in the abdomen really hard by something after running a 5k.
Thanks for support & prayers friends!!
