I call this one “Trust the process.” 🦋

Her and I have more work to do, corrective work is not simple. It is not an over night process. It is long game. But when done by a highly trained and skilled artist with thoughtful, careful planning, it is so so worth it. 🤍

Corrective work is not about covering what was there. I mixed a custom shade to interact with the pigment currently in her skin. We will see how this heals over 8 weeks before she comes back and we make any saturation adjustments. The last thing we want to do is over saturate with another undesirable shade. Heal, adjust. Trust the process. 👌

STORY TIME 📚
This lovely client came to me with previous work done by a different artist years ago. She was never happy with it. She was never given the opportunity to approve her shape BEFORE it was tattooed on her face. (🙅‍♀️ I CANNOT EVEN 🙅‍♀️) The blocky shape hardened her features and the tail pulled her eyes down rather than giving her that youthful lift that she deserved.

The strokes blurred and grayed out quickly because they were never placed in the proper depth of skin. (And poor quality pigment was used.) & if I’m being perfectly honest, microblading is dated. You need the absolute unicorn 🦄, Goldilocks zone of skin types, 20s/early 30s age group to even stand a chance of it aging gracefully over time.

After several sessions of laser removal, we were left with highlighter orange brows. Not ideal 😅 but something we could work with. We gave her a shape that lifted her and softened her features. She’s perfectly fine dabbing a little concealer over any orange outside of the brow border that we gave her.

When she left, she glowed. ✨
Her confidence was restored.
