🍂 SUNDAY: A DAY OF REST 🍂
The week before our 2nd annual Autumn Affair is one of our favorite times at the ranch. We love bringing the little details together—getting the grounds ready, preparing the art and activities, and imagining everyone here enjoying a fall afternoon while supporting Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue. 🫏💛
There’s a lot to do this week, but we don’t want to rush past the joy of preparing. Today, we’re taking a moment to rest and feel grateful: for the people helping make this event possible, for the guests who choose to spend their day with us, and for the donkeys at the heart of it all.
That pause of gratitude and standing in stillness matters. It reminds us why we put so much care into the work—and lets us begin this busy week with purpose and a full heart. 🍁
We can’t wait to welcome those who’ve registered to the ranch next Sunday, October 4!
And this morning, the sky gave us a beautiful reminder to look up: sunshine breaking through storm clouds, with a rainbow appearing over the land. 🌦️🌈
We hope your Sunday gives you a moment to pause and take in something beautiful, too. 🍁

🐝🍯 A SWEET TASTE OF FALL AT THE APOTHECARY!
There are many ways to keep bees. At Roaring Lion Ranch, we’ve chosen an approach shaped by research, field experience and what we observe in our hives. We wait until fall to consider harvesting so we can see what each colony has stored for winter. The bees’ needs come first; we harvest only when there’s honey to spare.
Now you can taste our sweet amber honey! We’ve also added honey from the Appalachian Mountains infused with organic herbs—just in time for fall celebrations and the holiday season. 🍂
✨ ** New Organic Herbal Infused Flavor: **
🍫 Chocolate Lover’s Honey
🤍 Vanilla Bean
💜 Field of Lavender
🌶️ Hot Pepper Honey
Come taste what honey from organically managed hives is like and find a new favorite for your holiday table—or a sweet gift for someone else! 🎁

⛈️🐾 STORM NIGHT AT THE PET CARE APOTHECARY 🐾🌿
We had storms roll through last night, giving us the perfect opportunity to show you how one of the products we carry works for one of our own shop pups.
In the video, you’ll see her after receiving her regular C*D-for-pets regimen, which we use to help support her through storm anxiety and arthritis discomfort. She remains fully alert, calm and present—without appearing sedated or disconnected from her surroundings. She’s simply more comfortable and better able to relax through the storm.
C*D is only one part of the holistic pet care available through our Botanical Market & Apothecary!
We carry an entire apothecary line for cats, dogs and equines, including herbal products, functional treats, supplements, vitamins and minerals, prebiotics and probiotics, and other natural wellness options that may support:
🐾 Calm behavior and emotional wellness
🐾 Joint comfort and mobility
🐾 Digestion and gastrointestinal health
🐾 Skin, coat and seasonal allergy support
🐾 Liver and kidney health
🐾 Supportive care for animals facing cancer, including products that help defend against free-radical damage
🐾 Urinary tract wellness
🐾 Immune health and antioxidant support
🐾 Vitamin and mineral supplementation for pets already being fed home-cooked or raw diets
🐾 Everyday health and overall wellness
Our friends at C*D Botanicals of Springfield also offer high-potency C*D products formulated specifically for pets!
We don’t simply stock these products—we use them with our own pets and rescue equines. After more than 20 years working in veterinary medicine, I’m very particular about the holistic products I trust.
We believe the best results come from combining thoughtful holistic support with collaborative care from our veterinarians.
