Did your migraine pattern change in your 40s? Hormone swings in perimenopause can play a role, but sleep, skipped meals, dehydration, stress, and medication use matter too. Track your pattern and talk with your clinician about new or changing headaches.

💕 I want to share something a little personal.

After taking care of women in Northwest Arkansas for decades, we started Hormone Bliss, an online hormone business, because I was tired of watching women struggle through perimenopause and menopause without enough answers or options.

I kept hearing the same stories:

😴 “I can’t sleep anymore.”
😵‍💫 “I’m anxious and irritable and I don’t even know why.”
🧠 “My brain doesn’t work like it used to.”
🔥 “I’m hot, exhausted, gaining weight and I just don’t feel like myself.”

And way too often, women have already spent money on another appointment only to hear “Your labs are normal,” “It’s probably stress,” or “That’s just part of aging.”

Nope. You deserve a better conversation than that.

Hormones aren’t the answer to every symptom, and they aren’t right for every woman. But if you’re in perimenopause or menopause and struggling, they absolutely deserve to be part of the conversation.

That’s why I wanted to make getting help simple, accessible and affordable — without waiting months for an appointment or wondering where to even start.

Progesterone is one of the hormones I talk about with women all the time, particularly when sleep, mood and changing cycles enter the picture. The right treatment depends on YOU — your symptoms, history, stage of menopause and goals.

💗 So if you’ve been putting this off because you don’t want to spend money on another appointment just to be told everything is “normal,” start here.

You’ve got nothing to lose but maybe a few of those sleepless nights. 😉

Or just DM me “HORMONES” and we’ll help you schedule a complimentary consultation. 💕

I’ve been taking care of NWA women for a long time. Hormone Bliss was my way of making that same kind of help available wherever you are — even from your couch in your pajamas. ❤️

Your period used to keep a calendar. Now it seems to have hired a chaos coordinator. 😅

During perimenopause, ovulation can become less predictable—so bleeding may arrive earlier, later, lighter, or heavier than your old normal.

Track the pattern. And don’t shrug off very heavy bleeding, bleeding between periods, or any bleeding after 12 months without a period—those deserve a check-in with your clinician.

What’s the most inconvenient place your cycle has surprised you?

Your bones do not send a warning text.

Bone loss can speed up around menopause without pain, obvious symptoms, or a clue on routine bloodwork. That does not mean panic, and it does not mean every woman needs hormones. It means your personal risk factors deserve a real conversation.

The new Hormone Bliss guide explains:
• why menopause changes the bone-remodeling balance
• who may need screening before age 65
• what a DXA scan can and cannot tell you
• which everyday habits actually earn their place

😴 DID YOU KNOW PROGESTERONE IS ONE OF YOUR MOST IMPORTANT “SLEEP” HORMONES?

There’s a reason pregnancy can make you want to nap in the middle of the day.

During pregnancy, progesterone rises dramatically—eventually, the placenta becomes a major progesterone-producing organ. Progesterone and its brain-active metabolites have calming, sleep-promoting effects.

Your body is basically saying: “We’re growing a human. Sit down.” 😂

Now fast-forward to perimenopause.

Ovulation becomes less predictable, which means progesterone production can become more erratic and decline. And one of the first places many women notice the change?

SLEEP. 💤

You don’t sleep well → you wake up exhausted → brain fog kicks in → patience disappears → cravings hit → you reach for sugar and caffeine just to function → and managing your weight suddenly feels a whole lot harder.

Sometimes what looks like a dozen separate problems is one hormonal domino effect.

And no, you don’t have to simply accept terrible sleep, brain fog, irritability, and exhaustion as “just getting older.”

It may be time to look at your hormones.

🙏 Dear God, show me how to help my sisters who are suffering.

The women who look in the mirror and think, “What happened to me?”

😴 Exhausted—but can’t sleep.
🔥 Hot flashes and night sweats.
🧠 Brain fog and forgetfulness.
😩 Anxiety, irritability, and mood changes.
⚖️ Gaining weight while doing all the right things.
💔 Low libido and feeling disconnected from themselves.

And then being told…

“Your labs are normal.”
“You’re just getting older.”
“It’s just menopause.”

No. ❤️

I never wanted women to simply survive this chapter of their lives.

I wanted to give them HOPE. HEALTH. HORMONE RESTORATION. And a PATH forward.

And that prayer became Hormone Bliss. 💕

A place where women can understand what’s happening in their bodies, test their hormones, learn their options, and finally have someone listen.

Because menopause does NOT mean your best years are behind you.

✨ You can have energy again.
✨ You can sleep again.
✨ You can feel sexy again.
✨ You can feel strong again.
✨ You can feel like YOU again.

Your path out of suffering became my passion. ❤️

If you’ve been wondering, “Could this be my hormones?” — start there.

Did your heart just… flip?

A skipped beat, flutter, or sudden thump can show up during perimenopause. And yes, hormones may be part of the picture—but they are not the only possibility.

Sleep loss, stress, caffeine, alcohol, some medicines, anemia, thyroid changes, and heart-rhythm issues can also cause palpitations.

My truth-teller rule: notice the pattern instead of guessing. Jot down when it happens, how long it lasts, and what you were doing. If it keeps returning, lasts more than a few minutes, or worries you, get it checked.

If it will not stop—or comes with chest pain, shortness of breath, faintness, or fainting—seek urgent medical help.

Has your heart ever done a random little flip-flop while you were sitting still?

Dry mouth. A burning tongue. Food suddenly tasting “off.” And somehow the answer is… drink more water?

Not always.

Mouth changes can show up in midlife, but hormones are only one possible piece. Medications, dry-eye conditions, diabetes, dental problems, and other causes can look surprisingly similar.

The important part: persistent dry mouth is not a normal part of aging, and a normal-looking tongue does not make the sensation imaginary.

I broke down what to notice, what may help, and when it deserves a closer look.

Hot flash. Cardigan. Fan. Cardigan again—all before lunch. 😅

If your body keeps changing the thermostat without your permission, welcome to temperature whiplash.

During perimenopause and menopause, changing estrogen signals can make the brain’s temperature-control system more sensitive. A small shift can trigger a big cooling response—heat, flushing and sweat—then leave you chilled afterward.

That does not mean every sweaty or shivery spell is “just hormones.” Fever, fainting, chest pain, or a sudden major change deserves a real medical look—not a shrug.

For the ordinary midlife thermostat mutiny:
• Dress in light layers.
• Keep cold water nearby.
• Notice personal triggers, especially alcohol, spicy foods and overheated rooms.
• Ask about evidence-based treatment if symptoms are stealing sleep or running your day.
