Face Posture
By Koko Face Yoga
Face Yoga is a great natural solution to regain your youthful appearance.
😬 Clenching can make your jaw feel tight and may contribute to a wider-looking lower face—but jowls have many causes.
✨ Relax your jaw and avoid unnecessary clenching.
Do you catch yourself clenching? Comment “YES” or “NO”! 👇
😴 Stuffy nose at night? Be careful with mouth taping!
Mouth tape should never be used to force your mouth closed when your nose is blocked or breathing feels difficult.
✨ Instead, focus on gentle facial massage for relaxation and try addressing the cause of your nighttime congestion.
If you regularly have nasal congestion, snoring, or trouble breathing at night, talk with a healthcare professional.
Do you often wake up with a stuffy nose? Comment “YES” or “NO”! 👇
👅 Which side of your tongue do you favor?
You may notice your tongue naturally feels more active on one side, especially if you tend to chew more on that side.
But don’t worry—this doesn’t automatically mean you’re creating facial asymmetry. Facial balance is influenced by many factors. ✨
Try noticing your tongue during resting posture and swallowing. Keep the movement gentle and comfortable rather than forcing it to one side or the other.
Which side do you notice more—LEFT, RIGHT, or BOTH? 👇
😮💨 Masseter tension is REAL.
And relaxing those jaw muscles? Not always easy—I’ve struggled with it too.
I tried gently taping over the masseter area as a little reminder to soften my jaw. Does it work? Maybe… maybe not! 😅
✨ Think of it as a simple awareness experiment—not a treatment. Never use tape to restrict your jaw or make breathing difficult, and stop if your skin gets irritated.
Would you try masseter taping? Comment “YES” or “NO”! 👇
🍜 Every bite doesn’t have to mean chin tension!
When eating noodles or slurping, notice whether you’re repeatedly tightening your lips, chin, or jaw. These habits can add unnecessary muscle tension—but they don’t automatically cause wrinkles.
✨ Try this before your next meal:
Relax your chin. Soften your lips. Take smaller, comfortable bites and notice your facial habits.
Mindful eating starts with awareness. 💕
Do you notice your chin tensing while eating? Comment “YES” or “NO”! 👇
✨ Using an Activator tool? Protect your skin first!
Don’t place the device directly on your face unless the manufacturer specifically says it’s designed for direct skin contact.
🧺 If a barrier is recommended, use a clean, soft cloth between the device and your skin.
Gentle touch, proper instructions, and no excessive pressure. 💕
Do you use a facial device at home? Comment “YES” or “NO”! 👇
✨ Facial muscles are all about movement and expression—not force!
Think of your face in two simple categories:
🔵 “Sleeping” muscles → gentle awareness and activation
🔴 Overworked muscles → relaxation and release
The goal isn’t to work harder. It’s to find better balance between activation and relaxation. 💕
Which area feels more overworked for you—jaw, forehead, or around the eyes? 👇
👅 Try this simple swallowing check!
Take a small sip of water and notice what your tongue, lips, and chin do as you swallow.
If you need to strongly purse your lips or tense your chin, you may be using extra facial muscle activity during swallowing.
✨ The goal isn’t to force a “perfect” swallow. Keep it smooth, comfortable, and relaxed.
Can you swallow without tensing your chin? Comment “YES” or “NO”! 👇
🦷 I still have 3 wisdom teeth—and they don’t cause me any pain.
But here’s the important part: no pain doesn’t always mean a wisdom tooth is problem-free. Some impacted or partially erupted wisdom teeth can cause issues without obvious symptoms.
✨ Whether to keep or remove them depends on things like their position, cleaning access, surrounding teeth, and your dental exam and X-rays.
So don’t remove them just because they’re wisdom teeth—and don’t keep them based on pain alone. Talk with your dentist about what’s right for you.
Do you still have your wisdom teeth? Comment “YES” or “NO”! 👇
👅 You’re mewing wrong if you’re pressing your tongue against your teeth!
The goal is gentle tongue posture—not pressure.
✨ Try resting the tip of your tongue just behind your upper front teeth, without pushing on them. Keep your jaw relaxed and avoid clenching.
No force. Just comfortable, consistent awareness. 💛
Where does your tongue rest right now—on your teeth or behind them? Comment “TEETH” or “BEHIND”! 👇
