Putting another product on the scalp may not address the actual problem.

This is why I don’t believe in chasing the newest hair-growth product.

I want to know:

WHY is the hair struggling in the first place?

Then we can determine what the scalp and follicles actually need.

And sometimes the answer isn’t another product.

It’s correcting the environment that your hair is trying to grow in.

Hair growth requires patience — but patience should be paired with a plan.

If you’ve been struggling with hair loss or thinning and don’t know what is actually driving it, a Root Cause Evaluation can help us look beyond the surface.

✨ Things you can do for healthier hair that cost $0.

Before buying another hair growth serum or supplement, let’s start with the basics. 👇

🥑 1. Clean up your diet. Prioritize whole foods, quality protein, healthy fats, and nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables. Reduce ultra-processed foods and excess added sugar, and pay attention to foods that may trigger symptoms for you.

😴 2. Prioritize sleep. Your body uses sleep for recovery, repair, and regulating important processes that support overall health—including healthy hair growth.

💧 3. Stay hydrated. Hydration supports normal body function. Your hair needs more than products applied to the outside!

🫧 4. Keep your scalp clean and balanced. Wash regularly based on your scalp’s needs, avoid excessive dry shampoo buildup, and don’t fall for the trend that washing less is always better. A clean scalp is part of a healthy hair-care routine.

✨ Remember: You don’t need to eliminate entire food groups like gluten or dairy unless there’s a medical reason or you’ve identified a personal intolerance. Focus on nourishing your body, not restricting it unnecessarily.

Your hair routine doesn’t have to start with another purchase. Sometimes, the most important changes begin with the habits you already have.

Build the foundation first. Your hair is worth it. 🤍

Hair-loss searches are reportedly up 105% — and I’m not surprised that more women are asking questions.

Because women are navigating more hormonal transitions, chronic stress, rapid weight changes, restrictive diets, nutritional gaps, illness and metabolic changes — all of which can affect the hair-growth cycle.

But here’s what I don’t want you to do:

❌ Panic
❌ Blame one hormone
❌ Assume it’s genetic
❌ Buy another “hair-growth” product
❌ Take biotin and hope for the best

Instead, ask:

What changed before my hair changed?

Because rapid shedding and progressive thinning aren’t necessarily the same thing — and the solution depends on what’s actually happening.

Your hair can give us clues.

Let’s look upstream instead of just treating what you see in the mirror.

YOUR ROOT WELLNESS REPORT IS LIKE A RECEIPT FOR YOUR HEALTH. 🧾

Think about a receipt—it gives you a snapshot of what you purchased and what you’re working with.

Your Root Wellness epigenetic report can give us a snapshot of what your body may be asking for right now—from nutritional patterns and lifestyle factors to areas that may benefit from additional support.

And when we’re talking about hair?

That information can help us look beyond the strand and ask:

What is happening at the root?

Because your hair doesn’t exist in isolation.

The goal isn’t to let a report diagnose you or tell you exactly what’s “wrong.” It’s one more piece of data that helps us connect the dots and create a more personalized wellness strategy.

🧾 Your hair is the symptom.
The report can help us investigate the bigger picture.

My Root Cause Evaluation includes a functional medicine test, an epigenetic test and personal lab recommendations.

These are my personal labs post birth control and how I’m going to implement what I’ve learned about me to move forward to have better insides so my outsides ✨ GLOW✨

1. Work on nutrient absorption & microbial balance by eating slower, drinking lemon water, walking after meals and eating more pre/pro/postbiotic foods

2. Incorporate more healthy fats into my diet like salmon, avocado, olive oil, nuts & seeds.

3. Work on quality sleep by putting my phone down before bed and reading instead, taking magnesium at night to help me relax and help that vitamin d level.

4. Take herbs to support progesterone production and inhibit testosterone just a little bit.

5. Continue my topical support with LLLT, topical therapies & circulation

This type of evaluation is available both in person and virtual!

Sometimes progress doesn’t feel like progress.

Hair growth journeys rarely move in a perfectly straight line. There are good weeks, frustrating weeks, setbacks, and moments when you wonder, “Is anything actually changing?”

This is exactly why I value rechecks so much.

Because we don’t have to rely on how it feels.

We can look at the photos, scalp images, density, growth patterns, and data and actually see what’s happening beneath the surface.

This client and I have been navigating an upstream battle between internal factors and external scalp/hair factors. We’ve had our struggles, we’ve had to adjust, and the journey hasn’t been without challenges.

But look at the evidence.

There IS progress.

And sometimes, the biggest part of the process is simply staying the course long enough to allow the work we’re doing to show up.

Hair biology takes time. Your body takes time.
And healing isn’t always linear.

So if you’re in that frustrating phase where you’re wondering whether your efforts are working…

Don’t just guess. Recheck. Measure. Compare. Adjust. Keep going.

Because sometimes the progress you can’t feel is the progress you can actually see. 🌱

Your metabolic health may not be the reason you are having hair loss, shedding or thinning.. but I may be playing a part in how your hair is reacting to it.

✨ LIMITED CLINICAL STUDY OPPORTUNITY

I’m opening a limited number of spots for women experiencing hair thinning, shedding, or concerns with scalp health to participate in an upcoming clinical study exploring the use of Pro-Xo topical exosome technology as part of a personalized hair wellness protocol.

This study will focus on supporting the scalp environment and observing changes over time using professional scalp analysis, consistent treatment, and individualized recommendations.

Participants will receive:
• Initial hair + scalp evaluation and baseline documentation
• A personalized treatment protocol using professional-grade topical exosomes
• Scheduled treatment applications and follow-up assessments
• Scalp imaging/data to document changes throughout the study
• Personalized lifestyle, nutrition, and scalp-care recommendations
• Before-and-after documentation to help us evaluate your progress

This is not a one-size-fits-all treatment or a promise of hair regrowth. Exosome-based approaches are an emerging area of hair restoration research, and this study is an opportunity to closely monitor individual responses.

Because I’m limiting participation, only a small number of participants will be accepted.

If you’ve been experiencing hair loss or thinning and want to be considered, DM me “STUDY” and I’ll send you the details and eligibility information.

4 Hills I’d Die On as a Holistic-First Trichologist

1. Hair loss is often a symptom, not the disease.
Your scalp is giving you information about what’s happening inside the body. I’m not interested in simply covering up the symptom—I want to understand why the follicle is struggling.

2. You cannot out-product a nutrient deficiency, chronic stress, or hormonal imbalance.
The best shampoo, serum, growth factor, or treatment in the world can’t compensate for a body that doesn’t have the building blocks—or the environment—needed to grow healthy hair.

3. “Your labs are normal” doesn’t always mean everything is optimal for hair growth.
Reference ranges tell us what is statistically common. They don’t necessarily tell us what is ideal for your individual physiology or your hair follicles. Context matters.

4. Hair growth requires patience—and consistency beats chasing the next miracle treatment.
Hair follicles operate on their own biological timeline. I would rather build a sustainable foundation—nutrition, stress regulation, scalp health, hormones, sleep and targeted therapies—than sell you a drawer full of products you’ll abandon in six weeks.
