When does IV hydration actually make sense?

This is one of the most important questions to ask before booking an IV.

IV hydration involves delivering fluids directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous line. Depending on the formulation, electrolytes or other nutrients may also be included.

But that doesn't mean every headache, tired morning, or busy week calls for an IV.

Whether IV hydration is appropriate can depend on factors such as hydration status, fluid loss, current symptoms, medical history, medications, and overall health.

For everyday hydration, drinking fluids remains essential.

IV therapy is simply one potential route of fluid and nutrient administration, and it should be considered based on the individual's circumstances.

Feeling tired doesn't automatically mean you need an “energy IV.”

“Personalized care” sounds good — but what does it actually mean?

Before an IV treatment, don't leave out the details.
