if your waxer has never asked what’s in your skincare routine, that’s a red flag! 🚩

lifting doesn’t always happen because of “bad wax” or “sensitive skin.” it can happen because certain active ingredients thin or sensitize the top layer of your skin, and when wax is applied on top of that, it can pull skin off along with the hair.

that’s why I ask every single client about their routine in the forms or prior to waxing.

✨the most common culprits:✨
• retinol and retinoids (stop 5-7 days before)
• vitamin C and benzoyl peroxide (stop 48-72 hours before)
• AHAs and BHAs (ease up 48 hours before)
• accutane or oral retinoids (waxing is not safe, full stop)

this isn’t about scaring you. it’s about making sure every appointment is safe, comfortable, and gives you the results you came for.
