This is not just a camera showing us what your skin looks like on the surface. It analyzes multiple skin concerns, helps identify things we may not be able to fully see with the naked eye, and gives us a much more detailed picture of what your skin may actually need.

It evaluates things like hydration, texture, pores, sensitivity, acne, blackheads, oil production, wrinkles, pigmentation, UV spots, underlying discoloration and more. It also uses the Baumann Skin Type system, which categorizes the skin based on things like whether it is dry or oily, sensitive or resistant, pigmented or non-pigmented, and more wrinkle-prone or firm.

🙋‍♀️For example, my own scan classified my skin as DRPW — Dry, Resistant, Pigmented and Wrinkled. That does NOT mean my skin is covered in wrinkles or that it looks “bad.” What it tells us is that my skin is currently more dry, less reactive, more prone to pigmentation, and showing characteristics associated with photoaging and collagen breakdown.

My scan actually showed hyperpigmentation, UV spots, texture and uneven color as some of my highest concerns, even though those things may not immediately jump out when someone simply looks at my face.

👉And THAT is exactly why I wanted this machine.

We can now use this information to help guide treatments, homecare recommendations and long-term skin goals instead of relying only on what we see during your facial.

You’ll also be able to track your progress over time, compare before-and-after scans, monitor changes after treatments, and even see a calculated skin health age.

⏰If you choose to add a scan to your facial, please keep in mind that the scan itself takes around 3-5 minutes, and we will need approximately 5–10 additional minutes to review your results and recommendations with you. Because of that, we may need to shorten your 60 min facial massage to a 45 minute facial so we can stay within your scheduled appointment time.

You can also scan a QR code and have your results, treatment plan and skincare recommendations sent directly to your phone so you can look back over everything later. 📱

There is A LOT of information packed into these reports, and we are continuing to educate ourselves and research every part of the system so we can use it intentionally rather than just handing you a bunch of numbers.

I don’t know how much more intentional and customized you can get with more education and a better way to actually measure the progress we are making with your skin. 🤎
