Hoi-San Guan builds for people left out of products and systems that were never designed with them in mind.

She is the Co-Founder of Solissa Skincare, a chemo-friendly skincare company created to bring a little sparkle of joy to women navigating life’s most challenging seasons. Co-founded with a cancer fighter, Solissa began with a simple but frustrating truth: most skincare was not made for chemo skin. Solissa is not skincare for a diagnosis; it is skincare for the full person still moving through treatment, recovery, and rediscovering herself afterward. The company is currently building its founding waitlist.

Before Solissa, Hoi-San built systems at Amazon that turned messy, high-friction work into tools and processes people could actually use. She also co-founded one of Amazon’s 13 official affinity groups, creating visibility for an overlooked community across a global employee base of more than 1.5 million people.

A serial entrepreneur and MBA graduate of the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, Hoi-San’s work carries a clear thread: make the path easier for people too often left to figure it out alone.

💡 CLOUD ROOM MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: ALEXANDER MART

Alexander Mart is a systems architect, Marine Corps veteran, and professional tattoo artist with over thirteen years of experience across portraiture, traditional work, ceramics, murals, and screen printing.

He recently relocated to Seattle to open The Linen Room (AMART), a private studio on Capitol Hill built for focused, appointment-only work. The studio is designed around intentional collaboration — a quieter space for clients who want the work to mean something, not just look good.

Alexander’s practice has never fit neatly inside one medium. His work moves between skin, canvas, clay, walls, and code, but the discipline underneath stays the same: precision, structure, and a refusal to separate craft from concept.

Alongside his visual practice, Alexander is the inventor of Arche, a deterministic reasoning engine built on a geometric substrate to address fundamental limitations in how AI systems process and validate information. Developed over more than a decade, Arche reflects the same first-principles approach that guides his art: build the structure underneath the image, then let the work speak from there.

💡 CLOUD ROOM MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: APRIL PRIDE

April Pride has been a member at The Cloud Room - Workspace on and off since 2015 when she launched her first cannabis company, Van der Pop, which the world’s largest cannabis company acquired in 2018. 

As a brand creator, podcast host, and psychedelic curator, April Pride has spent her career obsessing over the lived experience co-created through her work. After graduating with a Masters from Parsons, her creative career in Seattle began in interior design before she started designing products, brands and experiences in the emerging markets of cannabis and psychedelics for women ages 40-60. 

Today, April hosts Psychedelic Salon, which started in the Cloud Room lounge in 2023 and begins its third season at Town Hall Seattle in October 2026. Alongside her podcast and Substack, she hosts Women in the Wild, an intimate monthly gathering for women curious about psychedelics at her Capitol Hill home.

April has been recognized by Vice, Forbes, and The Guardian, and named to High Times’ “Female 50.”
