Imagine being a speaker at a fundraiser for disadvantaged sick kids, and then getting up on the microphone to complain about taxes in our state, and complain about our governor. Then imagine a crowd full of wealthy people (supposedly there because they care about poor sick children) cheering this misguided guy's speech. WTF. Start a gratitude journal, people. We live in a beautiful city. If you don't like it, move to Arkansas where the Walmart headquarters are.
“I told my wife I was going to buy an envelope. She says, ‘You're not a poor man. Why don't you go online and buy a hundred envelopes and put them in the closet?’ So I pretend not to hear her and go out to get an envelope because I'm going to have a hell of a good time in the process of buying one envelope. And what the computer people don't realize—or they don't care—is we're dancing animals. You know, we love to move around. And we're not supposed to dance at all anymore.” ---Kurt Vonnegut
