Hello!
Thank you all for your kind wishes, love and support. Many of you have asked how can I help. In moments like this, sometimes it’s hard to even know where to begin.
Now that some of the shock has worn off, we do recognize that we could use a lil help. 😬

So, what can you do to help Coven Salon?

1. Donate to our go fund me
Coven salon is made up of employees not independent contractors. We work hard to provide health insurance for our staff. We’ve set up a Go Fund Me to help cover insurance costs for the next two months. The goal is to raise enough funds so there will be no hiccup in anyone’s health insurance coverage.

2. Hire our stylists!
Also Coven’s closure is temporary, we’re still not sure when or if we will be able to return to our space.
We may need to find a new home altogether. That’s still to be determined.

3. Follow your stylist to their new location!
As the team finds new homes, stay in touch.

4. Be patient.
This whole things is mess. None of us has navigated anything like this before. The entire staff is furloughed and we’re working with the Seattle FD, insurance, landlords etc. it’s gonna take some time.

Thanks again for sticking it out with us while we pick up the pieces. We can’t do it without you.
We will all land on our feet hopefully sooner rather than later. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

To our beloved community, it is with the heaviest hearts that we have to make this post.
Coven salon will be closed indefinitely.
This fire has caused more damage to our building than we were originally led to believe.

At 7pm tonight we were informed that Madison Square is closed until further notice.

What does all of this mean? We have to close. What else do we know? We know this experience and making this post is very reminiscent of 2020. We know this sucks.
We ask that you please be remain patient with us as we navigate these nexts few days, weeks and so on.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for all of the love and support y’all have shown us and we hope to see you again soon.

Coven Community,

Monday night there was a fire at our building, causing severe fire damage to our upstairs neighbors. Coven thankfully, did not receive any fire damage, but we are unable to return to work until we get clearance from inspectors. Until then, we are temporary closed. This could be for just a few more days, or for any indeterminate amount of time. We were originally told we’d be good to go by this last Wednesday but that deadline has continued to be pushed out to this coming Tuesday. We are staying positive and hopeful that is the case, but we also are preparing for the event it’s not.

What does this look like moving forward? If you have an upcoming appointment on the books and we are still closed, you will be notified as soon as we know for sure. To prevent multiple rescheduling’s, we won’t be offering any alternative dates until we have a certain open date, then we will reach back out to reschedule. If you need to reach out to us for any reason regarding booking for future appointments, you can text us at 206-323-9010 and our front desk team will respond as quickly as they can once we’re back open.

Thank you so much for your continued support and grace through this unexpected and unpredictable time. Big thank you to the other salons in the community that immediately reached out to offer aid earlier this week.

Everyone is okay, the first floor was spared, but the 2nd and 3rd floor will need more support from the community and the city.
We should be back up and running by Thursday 7/16, Friday 7/17 at the latest. 🤞🏽

This community is so gracious and supportive and we truly can’t thank you all enough.
Thank you to our incredible team for scrambling to reschedule every client and keeping our staff notified. Thank you to all of the salons who reached out to host us.
Most of all thank you to the Seattle Fire Department because they were scrappy, strong and best of all, pretty good looking.
