Long before Cameron Diaz was headlining Charlie's Angels and Snoop Dogg was a global rap icon, the pair were classmates at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California. Diaz graduated in 1990, a year behind Snoop, who finished up in 1989 under his real name, Calvin Broadus Jr.
The story first surfaced in 2011 when Diaz appeared on Lopez Tonight and told host George Lopez that she "pretty sure" bought w**d from Snoop back at school. Her exact words: "I'm pretty sure I bought w**d from him. I had to have." When Lopez followed up by asking if she'd been "green" even in high school, she replied "absolutely".
Snoop confirmed the story on the same show not long after, joking that he "might've sold her some of that white girl w**d", which he clarified meant the sticks, stems and seeds rather than the good stuff. He also mentioned that Diaz used to hang around with his cheerleader friends, but said he never made a move on her because she was a year younger.
Years later, when Angie Martinez asked Snoop on her Untold Stories of Hip Hop series whether the story was fact or rumour, he answered with a single word: "fact."
