AGGIE bestie
Certified Nutrition Coach & Your Biohacking Bestie!
When your best friend of ten years has her baby BOY𩵠and you finally meet him ā¤ļø sorry aggie but I have my new bestie! š«£
Who can relate? š
Polish mom, British dad & American baby šŗšø
Jaggerās face says it all āplease donāt tell me Iām stuck with these two for the rest of my lifeā šš„¹
Also, heās the reason why we need coffee so itās only fair, am I right? š
Everyone told us not to travel with a newborn.
So naturally⦠we flew to Bali. š«
Especially after recently giving birth having my husband, remind me that I donāt completely suck as a mom has been really helpful. I love you baby ā¤ļø
Most women donāt lack discipline. I thought I did.
We lack decision bandwidth.
Itās hard, but also so worth it & I wouldnāt have it any other way!
For years, as a nutrition coach, Iāve shown women that fat loss is possible.
That metabolism is adaptable.
That strength and energy can be rebuilt at any age.ā
And now, as a new mama, thereās something I need to say out loud:
Just because something is possible doesnāt mean itās appropriate for every season.
Timing matters.
I love and respect my body because it created life. And from that place, I rebuild ā *patiently*, intentionally, without rushing.
There is no bounce back.
There is rebuild forward.
Pregnancy and postpartum are not neutral states.
They are inflammatory by design.
Inflammation rises to support placental growth, immune tolerance, tissue repair, milk production, and massive hormonal shifts. Estrogen, progesterone, prolactin, cortisol ā all elevated on purpose.
That softness and swelling after birth? Normal.
The so-called āmilk fluffā is real!
Prolactin shifts fat storage to protect milk supply, especially when sleep is broken and cortisol stays high.
This is why rushing to ādrop the weightā a few weeks after giving birth is not wellness.
Wellness is not aggressive training, calorie restriction, fasting, or chasing fat loss too early
If you want to change your body, thatās okay.
If you donāt want to right now, thatās also okay.
There is zero judgment here.
It please - TAKE YOUR TIME!
The goal should always be reducing inflammation, restoring energy, rebuilding strength safely, and calming the nervous system. When those are supported, body composition shifts naturally.
Love you fellow mamas!
What can I say? Water is also a biohack!
Ps. I donāt know what says Iām Post partum more. The fact that I didnāt get the weeks right or that I said ātripsā instead of ātricksā.
I didnāt come from money. Money came from me.
I didnāt come from āadventure travel.ā Adventure travel came from me.
My first flight was at 19. I was moving to Australia and I barely spoke English.
This was long enough ago that you couldnāt watch a YouTube video like āhow airports workā and feel prepared.
And the part that still hits me?
When my mom came to visit me in the US, it was her first flight ever. She was 50+.
So if youāre watching people hit milestones āearlyā and it triggers that voice in your head like, Iām lateā¦
youāre not.
Man who sacrifices his Personal Record for a kiss? Yeah⦠Iām keeping him. š„¹
To be fair, the right woman wonāt ever want her man to sacrifice his PR for her & I didnāt expect him or even want him to turn around. I didnāt expect a kiss.
I just wanted him to finally hear me. He missed me cheering for him THREE TIMES during the race and kept asking his parents, āWhere is Aggie?ā lol. So yeah, I wanted him to hear how proud I am of him for finishing an IRONMAN 70.3!
The whole day wasnāt about me. It was his race. His focus. His suffering. His passion. Making it about me would have been bu****it.
And I really believe this, thanks to Alison Armstrong too. You never block a manās passion. You donāt compete with it. You give him freedom. And if heās the right man⦠he chooses you anyway.
I canāt even pretend I was thrilled when he told me he wanted to train for an Ironman RIGHT AFTER I gave birth and our son being in the NICU right after.
It meant months of brutal training when all I wanted was him focused on me and the baby. That took real work on my side. Letting go. Trusting. Giving freedom instead of holding tight. And I canāt say I loved it every time.
Turns out, the right man feels that freedom. And he appreciates it.
So when he turned around at the finish and then told me āthere will be more racesā I knew heās a keeper.
