If yall aren’t out here absolutely bewitched over the Halloween goodies at your local small business shops instead of being another zombie, buying mass produced “Spirit” then are you even really a spooky girl?

Got some iced banana cinni coffee this morning at Old & Brew Snagged up this adorable second hand ghosty mug for my son, Casper. As well as these matching vintage, adorable as hell, rat familiars and gave one to my mom in law cause she’s a Libra like me 🎃🖤✨

Man oh man how my kit has evolved through the years.

First photo was 2013. I believe that was a fest I was working at Mountain Sky when it was still open. Cheap Snazaroo that most painters started out with back then. Round rainbow cakes that were horrendous for loading sponges. My decor style was a little brighter at the time.

I believe I was still a part of Lollipop at that point. I can’t remember what year it was that I had branched off specifically as Transmogrification Station for more adult festivals. Maybe that was the time?

Fast forward to now, my how the time flies. My kit has gone through tragedy, most needing replacement, some salvageable. Soooo many brands have come to the market. I’m constantly trying out new stuff and have some die hard favorites. Oh. And I still can’t paint butterflies very well.

My brand has now encompassed all my artistic endeavors. I had changed my business name to .kristacore. Facepaint and Bodyart. Shoes, murals, chalk, watercolor, etc. I can make almost anything into my own personal canvas from skin to paper to the ground I walk on.

I love art. Just wish I had more time for it.

This month’s Finch had a pet toad for its pet. Of course I couldn’t be happier. I set my to the top of the to do list. Thankfully it’s only a handful of prompts as opposed to daily because I NEVER keep up.

Also, it’s become tradition for me to get seasonal coffee mugs. Grab them up at TJ Maxx and brew your own espresso at home along with some homemade pumpkin ‘creamer’ (find recipes on the interwebz).

I don’t have to decorate much either. It’s Halloween in this house all year round. Just gotta hang the lights and cobwebs and carve pumpkins and I’m all good.

I insanely apologize for not making it to facepaint at Spellfest today. It hurts to even hold my phone up right now. 12 hours of angle grinding and swinging a 4 pound hammer breaking down a trampoline park. Metal beams, blisters, springs that can suck my ass, dirty belly button and black snots. My arms feel like wet noodles.

I tried to wake up this morning but could barely crawl out of bed. I will say it was well worth the time though.
