Where do we even start! This video is from 2022, working alongside Dress for Success Arizona and Cabi Clothing to support Afghan women studying here in Arizona. Monday, 10/12 we begin our Sparkle Academy ™️ Academy cohort with Dress for Success Arizona and the HOPE for Success program. Talk about a full-circle moment. ✨

When we opened The Sparkle Bar, we wanted to create a space where everyone could feel seen, celebrated, and confident in their own skin. We’re still doing that, every day, with every person who sits in our chairs.

Now, we get to share the craft through Sparkle Academy. To teach the techniques, the care, and the business behind what we do. To help women develop their skills as makeup artists and explore what building something of their own could look like.

From providing a service to teaching someone how to provide that service themselves—watching this evolution come to life means more than I can put into words.

So many conversations, so much care, and a whole lot of work from Shelby, Eli, our Dress for Success partners, and everyone who has helped bring this program to life. I’m beyond grateful, and so excited for what comes next.

It’s that season we love so much… parties, special occasions, holidays, galas and events.

We’ve had so many on-location group activation requests that we thought it might be a good idea to bring you behind the curtain a little.

We plan six weeks out for parties, especially during season. That includes on-location and in-studio appointments because we are by appointment only so if dates are on your calendar let’s get you on ours.

We’re looking for artists who love makeup, obviously — but also artists who are collaborative, professional, clean, quick when they need to be, good with PEOPLE + comfortable working in different environments.

Because one day might be a beautiful full face in studio.

Another might be a 7-minute touch-up at an activation.

Another might start at 7 AM.

Another might be rhinestones + glitter.

That’s our world. 😂✨

Bring your kit. Bring your artistry. Bring whatever else you do, too — hair, lashes, men’s grooming, education, body makeup, creative, events… tell us ALL the things.

And yes, if you’ve reached out to us before and we didn’t get back to you, PLEASE apply again. We’ve had a lot moving behind the scenes and I really want to make sure we reconnect.

This is freelance/project-based roster building, so we’re not promising a certain number of hours. We ARE building a deeper bench of talented artists we know, trust + can call as opportunities come in.
