When a car is more than a ride.
I just retrieved my T-Bird from 9 months in the shop. It needed a functioning instrument cluster … a part that Ford no longer makes. The process of finding and installing the reclaimed cluster was … you guessed it … a real cluster #%¥^.
More than one friend suggested I just get rid of it. But I couldn’t bear the thought and here’s why.
When I got the car it inspired me and some dear friends to launch an annual road rally we call The Topless Tour. With few exceptions, we traveled together every year, covering most of America and, this year, Italy.
Although my Thunderbird has not been part of every trip, it’s truly been part of my life.
So for now, as my T-Bird and I have grown older together (my hair is now mostly gray and the T-Bird’s analog speedometer now reads boldly in Kilometers per Hour), we’re still going strong and ready to reminisce and make new memories together. 🛣️

What better way to spend a midsummer evening than with besties at an outdoor concert.🎵
I thought Counting Crows was one of the very best of the many concerts I’ve experienced at The Hollywood Bowl.
Steve thought it was the worst😏.

I am 2 years older. She is still a petit, blue-eyed blonde. My brown eyes are now framed by my brunette hair gone partially gray. But the beauty of our sisterhood has only grown stronger through the years.
What a joy to have my “baby sister” with me for my 70th birthday celebration in Italy ❤️🇮🇹 ❤️. Together, we are forever young!

Today I turn 70. I don’t feel like 70, but then again, I don’t know what 70 is supposed to feel like. 💪

Grey days a-head? To color or not to color?
Less than one month away from my 70th and trying to decide. Since September, I have been letting my “natural” highlights grow out. The question now is whether to add low lights, go back to brunette or just embrace a coastal grandma look.
BTW: today is a good day. Other days, add 10 years😬.

Celebrity stage guests including pro athletes, news anchors, Paul Stanley of KISS (who, at 74, is ripped BTW).
This year Tour de Pier raised over $1.5 Million for research and cancer family advocacy.
It was emotional … riding for survivors and lost loved ones, including one of our team members who silently lost her battle last year. 💔
Beyond riding, we shared wine and skincare … my favorite pairing! A specially labeled version of my gorgeous 2023 Pinot Noir was served at the Strand House restaurant with proceeds supporting the cause. Plus my little Solvasa Team manned a popular tent in the expo section and shared the concept of Integrative Beauty that was initially inspired by my cancer journey. ⛅️
All in all, an epic day! 😍
