In-person lash education, professional lash services & community in Santa Rosa, CA. Because Success is Better Together.

Just another day at the office.
Pretty lashes,
client yapping
+ doing what I love.
The goal isn’t to pretend competition doesn’t exist.
Because,
of course it does...
We can work 5 minutes away from each other,
offer the same services,
use the same products,
charge similar prices
& technically, yes,
that sounds like the definition of competition...
Or can it be looked at as great artists just setting a standard?
somewhere along the way,
competition started turning into comparison.
Who’s busier.
Who’s better.
Who’s charging more.
Who has more followers.
Who got the opportunity.
Who got the client.
& when you spend enough time looking sideways, every talented artist around you can start to feel like a threat.
We’ve been there too.
But another artist being talented doesn’t make you less talented.
A client choosing someone else doesn’t mean there won’t be another client for you.
& sharing what you know doesn’t suddenly make what you’ve built less valuable.
If anything,
getting to actually know the artists around us has taught us the opposite.
We can refer clients when our books don’t align.
Cover for each other.
Share resources.
Attend each other’s events + education.
Ask questions.
Talk shop with someone who understands.
Celebrate growth, good work, & success.
& still go back to our own businesses
INSPIRED to be the best we possibly can for our clients & community.
You don’t have to make yourself smaller to support someone else!!
& you DEFINITELY don’t have to root against someone else because you want more for yourself!!
There’s a healthier version of competition.
& we’d really like to see more of it around here.
We care a lot about how artists feel after they leave a training.
Not just inspired for the day,
but actually more sure of what they’re doing when they’re back in the lash room on their own.
We want artists to leave SCALA feeling like they actually understand what they’re doing
not just memorizing steps.
To know what they’re looking at.
To know what to adjust.
To know why one technique might work better than another.
& to feel comfortable asking questions when something doesn’t go the way they expected.
That’s really what lash lift education means to us.
Not just another class.
Not just another certificate.
Actual understanding,
hands-on support,
& the kind of conversations that help you become more confident in your work over time.
It’s about learning.
About refining.
& having those “wait… why did that happen?” conversations in the lash room.
that’s part of why we care so much about teaching it well.
& So yes, if someone mentions lash lift education, we hope SCALA comes to mind.
Lash lift training,

There’s a big difference between knowing the steps of a lash lift & understanding what you’re actually looking at.
The natural lashes in front of you.
Shield selection.
Timing.
Product placement.
The little adjustments that come with working on real people
because no 2 sets of lashes read exactly the same.
That’s the part of lash lift education we really love.
Our in-person lash lift trainings are designed to give artists a place to
ask questions,
see the technique up close
& understand more of the why behind the result.
We offer education in both
Traditional/Speed Lifting + Korean Lash Lift techniques, with group classes,
private training
& mentorship options depending on how much support you’re looking for.
So whether lash lifts are
completely new to you,
you want to refine the technique you already use,
or you’re looking for somewhere to keep practicing after class
come talk lashes with us,
we’s love to see you in class.

Okay but hear us out…
lashes & brows !!
Because if our clients are already hanging out with us for their lashes,
being able to take care of their brows too just makes sense.
That’s one of the things we love about adding services that actually complement what you already do.
You don’t have to become the girl who does everything
but having a few really good skills in your back pocket can give your clients more reasons to keep coming back to you.
& for lash artists,
learning something new doesn’t always have to mean completely reinventing your business.
Sometimes it’s just adding the right thing to what you’re already really good at.
& it just so happens that Danielle, DFW Korean Lash Lifts • Classic Sets • Beautiful Brows Educator will be chatting about all things Service Stacking thelashconference this year. 👀
So yes…
SCALA does brows too.
& yes,
we think lash + brow appointments can be one in the same.
To our beloved clients — bring all the questions about adding brows to your next appointment.
& our incredible fellow Artists — you already know we’ll keep bringing more education your way.

Can’t wait to welcome you at SCALA.

The longer you’re around lashes,
the more you realize how much the little things matter.
& we’re kind of obsessed with the little things around here.
The tiny adjustments that make a set feel completely different.
The things that keep natural lashes healthy.
The things you may not even notice as a client
but you absolutely feel in the finished result.
It’s a big part of how we teach
& how we lashes at Sonoma County Lash Education Lash Extensions & Lash Lifts
So whether you want to learn with us
or you just want really good lashes…
you’re in the right place.
Trainings,
mentorships
& appointments are available at our
Santa Rosa, CA Academy through the link in our bio.
But keep swiping,
because this is the kind of stuff we could talk about all day. →
Like natural lash health.
Because yes,
obviously we want your extensions to look good.
But we also want what’s underneath them to look good too.
That alone changes the way we think about
length,
weight,
maintenance,
removal…
pretty much everything about eyelash extensions..
A good lash set shouldn’t just be pretty the day you leave the lash room.
Then there are the things you probably wouldn’t notice until someone points them out.
& Directionality is one of them.
Two artists could use the exact same lengths & curl
& create 2 completely different sets just based how the extensions are placed on the natural lashes.
It’s one of those tiny details that once you notice you can never unsee.
Same thing with a little volume fan.
It looks simple sitting there all cute & tiny…
but there’s actually so much happening in it.
The width.
The spacing.
The base.
The weight.
Those little decisions eventually become an entire lash set.
Which is probably why most artists are always unsatisfied with their handmade fans
& why it’s so challenging in the beginning to even create 3D fans.
But then you get to the fun parts.
Because once you understand the fundamentals,
you get to make choices & the freedom of being an artist.
Maybe we want more lift here.
Maybe something softer there.
Maybe the curl everyone thinks they want isn’t actually the one that’s going to give them the look they showed us.
That’s the difference between following
The longer you’re in this industry,
the more you realize that clients move in & out of your lash room for a hundred different reasons.
Some stay with you for years.
Some come a few times and you never see them again.
Some only get lashes for vacations or special occasions.
Some are in town for a few weeks.
& sometimes their regular artist is sick,
on vacation,
on maternity leave,
fully booked,
or simply can’t give them the appointment they need that week.
That’s just part of a lash career.
We’ve covered appointments for each other, taken care of another artists’ clients,
welcomed new-client touch-ups,
& sent clients right back to their regular artist afterward.
Taking care of another artist’s client doesn’t mean you’re trying to take their client.
Sometimes you’re helping an artist out. Sometimes another artist is helping you.
& sometimes a client eventually finds a lash room that’s a better fit for them.
None of it has to be personal.
There are enough clients for all of us, & we’d love to see our industry get a little more comfortable with that.
New-client touch-ups shouldn’t feel taboo.
Artists shouldn’t feel nervous accepting them.
& clients shouldn’t feel like they’ve done something wrong because they needed to see someone else.
Do beautiful work.
Take care of whoever is in your lash room that day. Respect the artist who came before you.
There’s room for all of us here.
