a little about me: My name is Riley Weinstein, I am a competitive Adaptive Crossfit Games Athlete. I have competed in Crossfit for 4 years going on my 5th year!

I say Adaptive because I have a disability. I was diagnosed with a Cavernous angioma (brain aneurysm) when I was 2 years old followed by 2 strokes which left me paralyzed on the left side of my body. I had to re-learn to do everything again walk, talk, eat, speak, and even hold my head up on my own. I had over 20 brain surgeries and have gone through many therapies. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and even equestrian therapy.

Despite all my challenges i went through as a child I grew up to be a dancer, Choreographer, motivational public speaker, actress, and today for the last 4 incredible years a competitive Adaptive CrossFit Athlete.

Hello my name is Riley Weinstein and I am a certified personal trainer. I also am a competitive Adaptive Crossfit Athlete!

Before i got into the fitness industry I was a dancer, dance instructor, and choreographer. I danced for many years and taught dance to students with disabilities as well as choreographed my own showcase events and benefit concerts where I raised money for students to dance.

As I got older I realized i wouldn’t be able to dance for the rest of my life so I found fitness. I trained at a gym to help me gain strength to help me physically as well as lose weight. I then realized how much I loved fitness so I started studying and going to school to study personal training.

At this particular gym I went to the Coaches and staff who helped me realize my potential and saw passed my disability and saw my athletic ability and entered me in my first Grit OCR Race. From there I just fell in love with competing. I competed in hyrox LA 2022, grit OCR 2021, and Crossfit Games open 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, WheelWod Games open, semifinals, and Games 2022, 2023, & 2024, DekaStrong 2023, Adaptive Crossfit Games Open, Semifinals, and Games 2024.

I fell in love with Crossfit when I did my first ever Crossfit Games Open and wanted to pursue it from there.

Aside from being a Competitive Adaptive Crossfit Athlete Fitness and Crossfit has helped me gain so much physically where I want to give back as a personal trainer and help others discover their abilities as well!
