Sweating? Hiking? Existing in August? This recipe’s for you 😉.
Our favorite summer hydration recipe is real ingredients + one pantry staple we always keep on hand: Figure Ate Persimmon Vinegar.
Mix:
💧 Water
🍋 Lemon or lime
🍯 Honey
🧂 Sea salt
✨ Persimmon Vinegar
The result is bright, lightly sweet, a little tangy, and surprisingly refreshing. Think lemonade’s cooler, more sophisticated cousin.

It’s National Week, and here’s why it matters: 75% of crops we eat depend on pollinators.
A visits 50–100 flowers per foraging trip. In her lifetime, she pollinates millions of plants. Bees, butterflies, beetles, hummingbirds—they’re the connector between plants, soil, and food.
rebuilds what pollinators need: diverse plants, healthy soil, no harsh chemicals. The farms we source our biltong from do this work. We support them > which protects pollinators > which means producing good food and healthy .

🌎 World Environment Day (today!) feels like a good moment to talk about the bigger picture behind Figure Ate. 🌎
Our parent nonprofit, , works to advance regenerative agriculture through land stewardship, farmer training, and research at Jalama Canyon Ranch — a 1,000-acre living laboratory on California’s Central Coast.
Agriculture can be part of the climate solution.
When land is managed regeneratively, healthy soil can store more carbon, support biodiversity, improve water cycles, and grow more resilient ecosystems over time. Season after season, it’s about working in better relationship with the land.
Figure Ate was created to help support that work through food people actually want to eat: air-dried beef biltong 🥩 made with regeneratively sourced beef, and naturally fermented persimmon vinegar 🍊 crafted from surplus California fruit.
Good food starts with a healthy environment!
