Congrats Geeta for winning our massage giveaway! We'll connect shortly to schedule your first massage!
Thanks everyone for participating and Happy Labor Day!
Massage increases blood flow to all parts of your body. This is how you get your nutrients and oxygen. When your tissue is deprived of nutrients or oxygen it causes pain in those areas of your body.
Similarly, massage clears blocks in your lymphatic system. Your lymphatic system removes all the gunk, the toxins and the byproducts of your body, from your body. If your lymphatic system is blocked then the gunk backs up causing inflammation and pain. Clearing these blockages relieves this pain.
Thirdly, massage breaks up your fascia. Fascia is your connective tissue, holding you together. When we are young, our fascia is fluid and stretchy but as we get older, our fascia becomes sticky and stiff. Massage breaks this up allowing for more movement and range of motion and yes, pain relief.
