Artist 🖌️ Luckie Color correction isn’t always about doing MORE. Sometimes it’s about knowing when to do less. 🤍
When this beauty first came to me, her hair had been over-highlighted, compromised and pulling orange. Permanent color had also been used where it simply wasn’t necessary, leaving her with a higher-maintenance grow-out than she needed.
So we changed the plan.
Instead of continuing to chase the blonde with more and more lightener, we reformulated her color, transitioned to demi-permanent color where appropriate, and started highlighting less frequently with much more purposeful placement.
We also incorporated a Brazilian Blowout to smooth the hair, reduce frizz and give her compromised ends that beautiful polished finish and reflective shine.
The goal was never just lighter.
It was healthier • softer • dimensional • lower maintenance • expensive-looking blonde.
And THIS is where we are today. ✨
Beautiful brightness where she needs it, intentional depth for dimension, a softer grow-out, and hair that finally looks shiny and polished again.
Sometimes the best color correction is knowing what to stop doing just as much as knowing what to add.

The only thing changing in these photos is the lighting.
And look at the difference.
In softer, indirect light her blonde reads deeper, warmer and more dimensional. Move her into brighter natural light and suddenly you see all that beautiful brightness and reflection.
This is one of the things I wish more clients knew about blonde hair — your color is never going to look exactly the same in every room, every mirror or every photo.
Blonde reflects the environment around it. Natural light, salon lighting, bathroom lighting, cloudy days, sunshine and even the colors surrounding you can change what your eye sees.
It’s also why I don’t formulate blonde based on one photograph alone. I’m looking at depth, dimension, reflection, placement and how the color behaves in different lighting.
Beautiful blonde isn’t supposed to be one flat color. ✨
