Re: the big gas station explosion at Guerrero and 16th. As far as I know, the salon is fine. It was my day off but I drove by to see if I could assess the damage. Unfortunately the whole four block radius is closed off. My neighbors, however, told me that the window held and their apartments are ok so fingers crossed, so is the salon. I’m planning on being open tomorrow although it may smell a little singed in there.

I am delighted to announce that this Holiday season Barnets Salon will be donating to Meals On Wheels. This well known program has been serving seniors since 1954. These folks are often homebound, lonely and hungry. MOW serve thousands of meals a year and offers a friendly face and some companionship to someone who may not see anyone from one day to the next..but they need the publics help
so if you can afford a suggested donation of just $5 or any amount, it could make a huge difference to someones life this winter.
There will be a collection box in the salon and thank you in advance, for your generosity.
