Bkr
Cult-phenomenon glass water bottle you never knew you needed meets innovative Paris lip balm in a patented, low-key genius design that multitasks.
Best friends and co-founders, Tal Winter and Kate Cutler started bkr in 2011 with the belief that inner and outer beauty were connected. Their product was the clean, addictive, cult favorite bkr bottle and their concept was Beauty 101: drinking water is the foundation for soft, dewy, pretty skin–and wtf–hydrating shouldn’t be so hard. Fast forward to a couple years later. Confident they had solve

Before water bottles became a phenomenon, there was bkr.
Back when the internet was a little prettier and a lot less complicated, your camera roll was full of sunsets, your desk was pin-worthy, Tumblr knew you better than you knew yourself, and everything, somehow, looked better through an Instagram filter.
2016 was optimism in color. Cotton candy skies, pale pink everything, marble desktops, rose gold, succulents, and the quiet belief that if you drank enough water and had the right playlist, everything might actually work out.
Take me back there. 2016 forever.

Before water bottles became a phenomenon, there was bkr.
Ten years later, the mood is back. So we did something cute about it to take you there again: One bkr—A whole wardrobe of straws—4 ways.
2016 forever.
In order: the miu miu-coded set, the pin-worthy set, the Internet famous before the Internet was weird set, the school supplies set.
Be careful what you get used to.
Your eye recalibrates.
One day you’re drinking from whatever’s nearby. The next, everything else feels a little… off.
Ignorance really was bliss.
It’s giving micro tears and UTIs, but aside from that, I hate it.

The biggest little nine things:
1. Drink water before coffee.
Before anything, really. Before the day starts asking things of you.
2. Use beautiful things every day.
Don’t save the good stuff for some magical future occasion. Today counts. Right now counts. “Just because” is reason enough.
3. Buy things that age beautifully.
The things you use every day shouldn’t slowly become things you can’t wait to replace.
4. Go outside. Every day.
Even ten minutes can completely change the mood of a day.
5. Keep the things that touch your body super clean.
Your sheets. Your towels. Your water bottle. Your makeup brushes. Your peace of mind lives in the details.
6. Buy fewer things. Buy better things.
I’ve never regretted owning less. I’ve regretted almost every impulse purchase of cheap junk.
7. Protect your sleep.
Almost everything feels harder when you’re tired, and almost everything feels more manageable when you’re rested. I go to bed later than most people, but I fiercely protect my eight hours.
8. Build tiny rituals you actually look forward to.
Cold water in your favorite bottle. Fresh flowers from the grocery store. Sitting on the stoop after dinner. Watering the plants. Tiny joys have an incredible return on investment.
9. Build a life you don’t need a vacation from.
Vacations are amazing. But if the only time you feel happy is when you’re escaping your life, something’s off. I consider myself a professional hanger-outer. My favorite days aren’t the extravagant ones—they’re the ordinary ones spent with the people I love most. That’s how I make a regular Tuesday feel beautiful.
I got 99 problems but funky water bottles ain’t one.
