Moving into the 1950s brows today- a darker brow reminiscent of what we began to see in the 1920s with the shape and polish that emerged in the 1930s. What's been your favorite decade of brows so far?

Have you all had a chance to learn from Melanie Mills yet?

Here's another teaser from our Collective Interview with her. What other types of makeup artists would you like to see interviewed?

Artistry lives in the details.

The confidence of a precise line.
The impact of a bold lip.
The beauty of makeup that looks as fresh hours later as it did the moment it was applied.

Performance isn't an afterthought—it's part of the artistry. That's why every formula is designed to help your work stay exactly where you intended.

Professional performance. Beautiful results.

Next up in our 100 years of brow series is the 1940's brow. Wartime women began growing their brows out to be fuller and thicker. We saw a shift from expressive brows for on screen to brows that were fuller but still very well manicured in the 1940s.

A modern interpretation of the 1940's brow is present today- the process of laminating brows but keeping them well manicured is a nod to this brow style from 80 years ago.

Next up in our History of Brows lineup is the 1930's. The main shift we saw with 1930s brows were that they became more rounded in shape. While the brow style was still thin and shaped, they weren't necessarily drawn in as dark as the brows of the 1920s.
Have you seen other films or shows that have been influenced by the 1930s brow?

As a company created by professional makeup artists, for professional makeup artists, we knew creating education around the history of makeup was important. Not only do past makeup trends affect current ones, but these trends are important to understand for anyone wanting to work in film or editorial.

Thin brows became a trend in the 1920's, and now we are seeing them again on runways and in editorial shoots. What similarities or differences do you spot between the brows of 100 years ago versus today?
