Braid removal and detangling done right takes time, but it's worth doing carefully. Rush it and you're dealing with breakage. Detoxing and deep conditioning your hair is vital and treatments will be necessary since most shampoos and conditioners are not enough after big festival hair.

Protect your color this summer (before the damage is done!!)

If you're spending time outside (in the sun, in the water, or both) your color is taking hits every single day. A few things that actually make a difference:

1. Rinse after you swim, don't always shampoo. Chlorine and salt water are rough, but a clean water rinse right after gets most of it out. Save the shampoo for when you actually need it.

2. Add UV protection. Sun fades color the same way it fades everything else. A leave-in spray with UV protection used consistently slows that process down a lot. Ask us what we like.

3. Ease up on heat tools. Your hair is already working hard against the humidity and sun. Air dry when you can.

4. Don't wait until you see the damage. Protective treatments work best before the fade sets in. If your color is looking a little tired heading into August, that's the time to come in — not after!
