Ginja Soap

One day my girlfriend asked me if I could make natural soap for us to use. The idea of being able to make any scent or type of soap I wanted and be able to control all the ingredients really appealed to me so I got started studying the process. Once I started learning about it, I realized how many chemicals and yucky ingredients are in most skin care products. I realized we think a lot about the foods we eat but not the products we use on our skin. Then I got really excited about being able to be very creative with all of the scents, oils, and herbs we can use to make beautiful, aromatic soap. Ginja Soap is homemade soap made with lots of natural ingredients that are good for your skin and for the environment. It is made the old-fashioned way by the cold process method in small batches. We use the following natural ingredients in every bar of soap: Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Castor Oil and Distilled Water. All of our soaps contain at least 10% shea butter which is very moisturizing and gives the soap a silky, creamy feel. These include coconut milk, goats’ milk, raw tussah silk, clays and minerals or herbs depending on which soap you choose. Check the ingredient list on the back of each soap bar to see what’s special in your soap. If you prefer vegan soap, check the labels to find those. Some of our soaps are made with goats milk. These soaps are extra creamy because goats milk contains lactic acid, an alpha hydroxyl acid, which naturally exfoliates the skin to make it softer. Cleopatra is famous for having bathed in fresh milk because it left her skin so soft.
