A big reason microblading isn’t ideal for oily skin is that excess oil can cause the crisp hair-like strokes to soften and blur as they heal. Over time, the individual strokes can merge together, making the brows look less defined and sometimes patchy.

For permanent makeup consultations, I usually look beyond whether someone says they have “sensitive skin.” I’m also assessing:

* Whether their skin is oily, dry, or combination.
* If they have redness, rosacea, or eczema.
* How reactive their skin is.
* Whether the skin barrier appears healthy.

This helps determine the safest technique and what kind of healing results they can expect.

It’s not just about saving 10 minutes every morning. It’s about waking up, going to the gym, swimming, or running errands and already feeling put together, without having to draw your brows on.
