My favorite matcha protein latte recipe:

3 scoops matcha powder (sweetened)
2 scoops vanilla protein powder
A cup of ice
1 frozen banana broken up into four pieces
A splash of sweet cream creamer (literally like a tablespoon) or sub with oat milk + stevia
A cup of water
Blend for 30 seconds in vitamix

Sun damage is a real thing. Every freckle, sun spot, mole, premature aging and spotting are the proof.

I started this business 11 years ago when I first realized the damage I had done to my skin at only 28 years old. I had laid out, don’t tanning beds, and done all the things I listed above and was somehow shocked that I had: severe melasma all over my face, textured skin on my face and body, ring worm from tanning beds, and sun spots on my face, shoulders, and neck.

Upon going to the doctor, they advised that not only would it cost me thousands to reverse the cosmetic effects, it would also require daily commitment to a sunless lifestyle.

Today, I wear sunscreen every day, multiple times a day on my face. I wear a hat so big that most people would laugh at me or call me dramatic. I wear my very expensive dermatologist prescribed creams after ANY exposure to the sun. I avoid direct sunlight at all costs. I will leave any place at any time if I am unable to find shade. I won’t buy padres tickets if they’re in direct sunlight. I check the UV index daily and avoid being outside for extended periods of time during UV higher than 8. I spray tan weekly and never tan naturally.

Thankfully I have been able to reverse most of the damage to my skin cosmetically, but I still worry about the long term effects to my skin internally. While I do not have skin cancer, and I pray I never do, I don’t want any of you to have to spend the money I’ve had to spend reversing sun damage.
