Today’s case study is a dark lip neutralization on a male client. His goals were to lighten the darker tones present in order to achieve a lighter, brighter more even tone to his lips. The challenge with male lips is to make the color and shape as natural as possible, so that it is almost imperceptible.
This advanced lip blushing technique is becoming more popular, as more clients request it. To successfully neutralize dark lip tissue, specific pigments, tools, and techniques are required.
In most cases, several treatments are necessary to achieve the client’s desired hue. My client’s lips will be fully healed and healthy to tattoo again after a minimum of 8-10 weeks.

Let’s talk lip moisture and hydration!
Lips, unlike the rest of your skin lack glands and thus cannot generate their own hydration.
Drinking plenty of water can therefore help keep your lips hydrated. Dehydration isn’t the only cause of dry lips, but it can be a contributing factor.
Furthermore, exfoliate your lips’ one week before your appointment, as directed in your precare packet, for an even lip tone and smooth results! 💕
