My clients usually find out I’m a singer somewhere between the shampoo bowl and the conditioner. If Mariah, Whitney, or Brandy comes on, there’s a 99% chance I’m singing along.

Occupational Hazard. 😅

Honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Hair and music have always gone hand in hand for me and getting to share both with the people in my chair is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

There are Moments Behind the Chair that Remind Me Exactly Why I Do What I Do. 🤎

This Beautiful little girl is 3 years old and I had the incredible honor of giving her her very first haircut.

She was Calm, Curious, and Quietly watched my every move from beginning to end. That smile you see at the end of this reel? It was the only one I got and it was EARNED. Little kids don’t fake trust. They give it when they truly feel safe.

One of my favorite parts of this appointment wasn’t just shaping her curls. It was getting to encourage her mom.

Like so many parents, she worried she wasn’t doing enough. But the truth is, she has done an amazing job. Her daughter has healthy, beautiful curls because she’s poured love, patience and consistency into. I simply helped refine her shape, even out some old growth from her baby mohawk, and finished with twists to make things easy at home.

I don’t necessarily consider myself a kids’ hairstylist. But when it comes to Curly Hair, Educating Families, and helping children grow up loving the hair they were born with, the answer will always be Yes.

Thank you for trusting me with such a special milestone. Being a part of her very first salon experience is something I don’t take for granted. ✨

My studio is tucked inside one of Hillcrest’s unique little communities. When you walk through the doors, you’ll find more than just a salon, you’ll find a collection of small businesses that all help make this space special.

Inside the building, you’ll find a Barber Shop, Nail Services, another Hair Salon, and even some incredible Food. There’s a brunch spot in the back on weekends, Hawaiian food on select evenings, and a whole lot of personality packed into one place.

And every Sunday, the pops up right outside our front door, bringing even more energy to the neighborhood. 🌿☀️

Whether you’re coming in for Curls, Color, Silk Press or just some good conversation, my goal is to make sure you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive.

The Coveted “Girlfriend Hair Appointment”. 🌅

A few years ago I was standing outside my salon when I saw this beautiful human walking across the street. I said, “I Love your tiny fro!” She smiled and said, “Thank you, I just cut off my dreads.” And we’ve been friends ever since.

Moving to a new city can feel overwhelming, but somehow San Diego brought us both exactly where we needed to be. Since then, we’ve spent countless hours in my chair laughing, catching up on life, experimenting with different shades of blonde, and figuring out what works best for her curls & lifestyle.

Every few weeks, you’ll find us at sharing a vegan peanut butter brownie and talking about life. And honestly, appointments with never feel like work. They’re just time spent with a friend.

Being a hairstylist is so much more than hair. It’s about connection. It’s about growing alongside people and helping them find a look that feels authentically them.

And yes, if your gay friend also happens to own a salon… you’ve absolutely hit the jackpot. 😂💇🏽‍♀️✨

I didn’t become a salon owner overnight. It took courage, healing, late nights, sacrifices, and a whole lot of faith in myself. And now, when you walk through my doors, you’re stepping into a space that reflects all of it.
