Every communication attempt matters. Whether it's a sound, a gesture, a sign, eye gaze, or a word, children are learning that their actions have meaning. When we respond consistently, we teach them that communication works.
Parents…
You don’t need expensive toys to build communication.
A simple scarf can become a game of peek-a-boo, hiding, waiting, requesting, colors, following directions, pretend play, and so much more!

Purposeful play creates opportunities for connection—and communication grows through those joyful moments together.
