At the time, I was a MAC girl—and I had not yet received formal makeup training.

A woman asked me for a smokey eye.

I gave it my best attempt… but honestly, I had no idea what I was doing. 🫣

My ego took a hit.

Looking back, I’m actually grateful she told me the truth.

Because we all start somewhere.

How do I keep my makeup looking natural, polished, and actually manageable?

Honestly… I’m a busy woman too. 🫠

I don’t want my beauty routine to take up my entire morning, and I know many of you feel the same way.

So here’s one of my favorite little eye makeup shortcuts when I want my lashes to look defined without reaching for mascara:

✨ Dab a tiny amount of Aquaphor onto your fingertips and gently press them together.

✨ Lightly tap the product onto the tips of your natural lashes.

✨ Work it through until your lashes have a soft, clean definition.

That’s it.

No mascara.
No complicated technique.
Just a little moisture and definition when you’re in a pinch.

And if you naturally have blonde or brunette lashes and want a little more visibility without relying on mascara every day, a lash tint can be a beautiful way to maximize what you already have.
