One of my favorite things about this industry is that there is ALWAYS something new to learn. New techniques, new products, new inspiration...and somehow I always leave these events feeling even more excited to get back behind the chair.
Day 2 was all about soaking it in, getting inspired, spending entirely too much money ๐ and remembering why I love being part of this industry so damn much.

Going darker doesnโt mean going flat. ๐ค
She came in as a highlighted level 8/9 ash blonde, but she was ready for something richer, deeper and WAY less maintenance without losing all the dimension she loved.
So we took her back to brunette. ๐ซ
Instead of creating one solid dark canvas, I formulated with Danger Jones Balayage -66 + 7-0 + 5-8 to bring back warmth, depth and richness while still allowing that movement and dimension to live throughout the hair.
The result? This ridiculously glossy, rich chocolate brunette that feels completely different while still looking dimensional. ๐ฎโ๐จ
Less maintenance. More richness. Still dimensional.
Sometimes going darker really is the glow-up. ๐คโจ

You donโt always need a full color appointment to make your hair feel brand new. ๐๐ผ
For this visit, we refreshed her tone and gave her a haircut bringing the richness back into her brunette, toned out unwanted brass from her peekaboo , cleaned up her shape, and gave those ends some LIFE again. ๐ค
Toners arenโt just for immediately after a blonding service. As your color lives, washes, and is exposed to heat, sun, water + everyday life, the tone you originally loved can start to shift or lose its shine.
A toner refresh allows us to bring that tone back without completely redoing your color.
And the haircut? โ๏ธ Just as important.
Regular trims keep the shape intentional, remove tired ends, and help your hair continue to look full and healthy as it grows. When you stay on top of your toner + haircut appointments, you can rock your color for SO much longer before needing another big service. ๐๐ผ

Second session out of box dyeโฆ and not a scoop of lightener was used this appointment. ๐โจ
When she first came to me, we started the process of working through previous box color and added her first round of highlights back in April. For session two, I wanted to continue creating brightness and dimension without unnecessarily pushing the hair. So this entire look was created using high lift color + toner, while utilizing the dimension we had already created during her previous session.
And THIS is why I will always preach that beautiful color doesnโt have to happen in one appointment. ๐ค Sometimes the best transformations come from having a plan, working with what weโve already created, and choosing the technique the hair actually needs not just automatically reaching for lightener.

When it comes to extensions, the goal isnโt just to add more hair! itโs to make sure you canโt tell where your natural hair ends and the extensions begin.
For this install, we added 200g of hair and used three different extension colors to create the blend.
She wears her natural color, but her ends are naturally a little lighter. Instead of trying to match everything to one solid shade, I incorporated a lighter tone through the extensions to mimic what her own hair was already doing.
