🚨We are closed until further notice 🚨

The building next door (The former BYO Burger building) has a serious rodent infestation that has been affecting neighboring businesses including the spa. Stick It Signs and Ninnescah Spa have tried to address this directly with the owners. Pest control was originally called on the 8th but we were informed that the owners have since terminated service. There is still an active infestation and we were told the building would be cleaned out this weekend but that never happened. The serious state of this infestation is obviously a huge health hazard that we cannot ignore so the spa, in addition to another Main Street business, are working with the city and health department to have these concerns addressed. The current state of things and the odor is untenable. We’re heading out of town for the better part of two weeks and aren’t entirely sure what conditions we will be returning to. We have clients booked at the beginning of October and hopefully, we can guarantee the level of sanitation that would allow us to see our valued clients for their scheduled appointments. This is an incredibly frustrating situation to find ourselves in and we sincerely hoped, after having to cancel appointments on September 9th due to this issue, that this would have been addressed by now. We are now at a point where the only option we’re left with is to shut our doors.

*For the sake of transparency and in case the building’s owners have a rebuttal - we did not want to have to address this publicly. Stick It Signs and Ninnescah Spa went directly to the building owners nearly two weeks ago when we realized the severity of the infestation. Orkin was called out the following day and did a comprehensive inspection of the three buildings affected. Traps were laid in all three buildings and poison put out inside of the middle building to address the source. Orkin then told us we would be seeing them that Friday to move forward with an outlined plan. After a week of not seeing that plan move forward and dealing with horrible odors, Danny Bruckner reached out to Orkin directly and was told they had been fired. When we confronted the owners of the middle building about this, we were told that we were wrong, they were just having the quote reworked and there would be a delay (despite Orkin telling us differently, us having not seen the plan move forward, or having received any information about a delay or change to that plan). We were told by the owners that there were ‘only babies’ left after the preliminary round of poison and they would be down on Saturday to clean the building out. They never showed up on Saturday but instead showed up Sunday afternoon only to cover their windows and clean outside the back of their building. They have not even opened or responded to the messages we sent on Friday. We were also able to see large, adult mice caught in their traps so our concern for ongoing reproduction and the proliferation of this infestation is warranted. We run a business that utilizes sterilized tools and clean linens. We see pregnant women, children, immunocompromised, and elderly clients. We absolutely cannot operate if we cannot guarantee a sanitary environment for our clients and ourselves. We sincerely wish that this would have been addressed before it affected other Main Street businesses or at the very least handled with transparency, integrity, and collaboration after it was brought to their attention. That unfortunately has not been the case.
