This October, We Can Ride is proud to join Horses for Mental Health and the Pass the Braid campaign—a nationwide movement celebrating the powerful connection between horses and mental health.

At We Can Ride, we see that connection every day. Horses can help us feel grounded when life feels overwhelming. They can build confidence, create connection, teach us to be present, and sometimes simply give us a safe place to breathe when the world seems to be moving very, very fast.

Throughout October, we’re inviting our We Can Ride community—participants, families, volunteers, staff, supporters, and friends—to Pass the Braid by sharing how horses have made a difference in your mental health or your life.

Again, this is an opportunity not just for our clients, but for our whole community to share the impact that horses have had on our lives, and to raise awareness and solidarity around mental health.

Maybe there’s one horse you’ll never forget. Maybe time at the barn helped you through a difficult season. Maybe horses helped you find confidence, belonging, calm, or joy.
