There is the hair we picture ourselves having…

…and then there is the hair we actually have time to do on a Tuesday morning. 😂

I’m always interested in the second one.

Because I can create a haircut that looks amazing after a 45-minute styling session.

But if you’re realistically giving it 10 minutes before you walk out the door?

That matters.

I want to know what happens after you leave my studio.

How you dry it.

Whether you use a round brush or absolutely refuse to.

Whether you like to throw it up and go.

Whether you actually enjoy styling your hair or would rather be doing literally anything else.

That information is part of the haircut.

Because the finished style isn’t just the few minutes you spend in my chair.

It’s all the days in between.

There’s something really satisfying about taking hair that already has a good foundation and making it feel better.

Maybe the color has gotten a little dull.

Maybe the shape has grown out and lost some movement.

Maybe the ends just need a good clean-up.

Maybe the guest doesn’t want anything dramatically different — she just wants to look in the mirror and think, ohhh, there we go.

Those appointments are some of my favorites.

A little color adjustment.
A little reshaping.
A few pieces added in the right places.
Sometimes taking something away is what makes the whole thing work.

It doesn’t have to be a complete transformation to feel like a really good hair day.

And honestly? I think there’s something pretty great about that.

Sometimes a refresh doesn’t mean starting over.

This new guest wanted her color to feel softer and more natural, while her haircut needed a little more personality.

We refined her color, cleaned up her ends, removed some weight and created a soft s**g shape that gave her hair more movement. We also added a fringe that made her feel youthful and really brought the whole cut together.

The best part?

The haircut supports the way she actually likes to style her hair at home — while still giving her a few different options when she wants to switch things up.

Nothing drastic. Nothing that felt like “new hair” just for the sake of new hair.

Just a thoughtful update that felt like her.

She told me she felt seen and heard throughout her appointment and completely at ease in my space.

That means a lot.

Because great hair isn’t just about what happens with the color bowl or the scissors.

It’s about listening first, understanding what you want your hair to do for you, and creating something that fits the woman wearing it.

One of the best parts of doing hair for years is getting to know the women sitting in my chair.

You start to know what they love.

What they don’t.

How much time they’re willing to spend on their hair.

When they’re ready for a change — and when they absolutely are not. 😂

You learn what’s happening in their lives, what season they’re in, what they need from their appointment that day.

And eventually, you don’t have to start from scratch every time.

There’s a trust that builds.

That’s why I don’t think a salon visit is just about the hair.

Of course, I want you to leave loving your color or your cut.

But I also want you to feel comfortable while you’re here.

Listened to.

Known.

And maybe a little more relaxed than when you walked in.

That’s the kind of relationship I want to build with the women in my chair. ❤️

More blonde isn’t always the answer.

Sometimes what your hair needs is a little more depth.

Maybe your highlights have gotten too bright.

Maybe everything is starting to look a little flat.

Maybe your natural color has been completely lost underneath all that blonde.

Adding a few lowlights, adjusting the tone, softening the root or bringing some dimension back through the hair can completely change the way your color feels.

And sometimes the best color appointment isn’t about adding more.

It’s about getting the balance right.

That’s one of my favorite parts of dimensional color — creating enough contrast that everything has a chance to show up.

Not every hair appointment needs to be a big one.

Sometimes your color is still in a really good place and just needs a little refresh.

A toner.

A root blend.

A few accent highlights.

A trim and a good style.

A little hydration and shine.

Those smaller appointments can make a surprisingly big difference — and they can help keep your hair looking good between the bigger color services.

I’m a big believer in maintaining your hair before you get to the point where you feel like you need to completely start over.

Sometimes a little is exactly what your hair needs.

Your hair should fit your life.

Not the other way around.

How much time do you actually want to spend styling it?

How often do you realistically want to come in for color?

Do you like seeing a little dimension and movement, or do you want things a little brighter?

Do you want something that looks great when you have time to style it — but still feels good on the days you don’t?

Those are the things that matter when deciding what your hair should look like.

Because the goal isn’t just to create pretty hair when you leave the salon.

It’s to create hair that still feels like you when you’re standing in your bathroom getting ready on a Tuesday morning.

That’s where the best hair plans start.

If you’ve never been to my studio suite before, you might wonder what an appointment here is actually like.

And if you’ve been coming to me for years, you probably already know. ❤️

It’s pretty simple.

You get one-on-one time with me. We talk about your hair, what you love, what drives you crazy, how much time you actually want to spend styling it, and what makes sense for your life.

Sometimes that means a bigger color appointment.

Sometimes it’s a simple refresh.

And sometimes your hair doesn’t need a major change at all. 😂

The space is intentionally calm and personal. No crowded salon, no rushing between guests, and no trying to fit everyone into the same formula.

And honestly, one of my favorite parts is everything that happens in between the actual hair stuff.

The catching up. The laughing. The stories. The quiet moments.

Whether you’ve been in my chair for years or you’re thinking about coming in for the first time, I want you to feel comfortable, listened to, and like you have a little space to exhale while you’re here.

It’s your time, too. ❤️

Here’s a little peek inside my studio suite.

Sometimes you don’t need a whole new color.

You just need a little refresh.

Maybe your highlights still look good, but they’ve gotten a little dull.

Maybe your root blend needs a touch-up.

Maybe you want to soften some warmth.

Maybe your ends are feeling dry and need some love.

Or maybe you just want your hair to look a little more polished without committing to another big appointment.

That’s exactly why I offer smaller maintenance services.

Because maintaining your hair shouldn’t always mean starting over.

Sometimes a toner, gloss, treatment, a few strategically placed pieces or a small color adjustment is all you need.

I love helping my guests figure out what they actually need instead of automatically doing more.

Your hair—and your time—are worth taking care of.
