Why choose me as your paramedical tattoo artist? 💕

Hi, I’m Sheena Smith, RN, MSN — paramedical tattoo artist and the owner of camoglam beauty inc.® I specialize in scar and stretch mark camouflage.

I started this work in 2021 for a very personal reason. After my own tummy tuck surgery, I was left with a scar that healed darker and thicker than I expected. I tried scar revision and laser/skin treatments, but while the texture improved, the color was still there. I was constantly covering it with makeup and choosing bikinis around whether my scar would show.

That’s what eventually led me to scar camouflage.

I trained in LA and brought what I learned back home to Sacramento. Since then, I’ve worked with clients with surgical scars, burns, stretch marks, injury scars and other experiences that have left them with marks they don’t want to be reminded of.

My nursing background is a big part of how I approach this work. I care about the condition of the skin, how it has healed, whether it’s actually ready to be tattooed and what we can realistically achieve.

I’m also an AAMPMU Gold Board Certified Artist American Academy of Micropigmentation and continue my education as paramedical tattooing evolves.

But more than anything, I understand what it feels like to be on the other side of the appointment. I was looking for this service before I ever thought I’d be the one providing it.
