Dough, no! 🍪 Before you sneak a taste of raw dough, remember those unbaked eggs and flour could make you sick. Stay safe and savor the treat when it’s fully cooked. Your health is worth the wait!

Sharing because we care about the health and well-being of fur babies too.
🐾 We have no intake availability for dogs. We need your help! 🐾
Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing an outbreak of parvovirus in our dog kennels and to ensure the health and safety of our current residents as well as community pets, we are not able to take in stray dogs or owner surrenders.
We continue to receive multiple calls every day about stray pets and we need our community's help to reunite lost pets with their families as quickly as possible.
If your pet goes missing or you find a stray pet, please contact Person County Animal Services immediately. The sooner we know about a lost or found pet, the better the chances of a successful reunion.
If you find a stray pet, please do not remove it from the area where it was found. Many lost pets stay close to home, and owners often search the neighborhood where their pet went missing. Taking a stray to another part of the county can make it much more difficult for the owner to locate and reclaim their pet.
If you've found a friendly stray and are able to safely care for it in the area where it was found while we work to locate the owner, that can make a tremendous difference. Keeping found pets in the community whenever possible helps reduce overcrowding at the shelter and allows us to continue caring for animals with no other safe place to go. You can call the shelter at (336) 597-1741 to serve as a temporary foster for any found animals you are willing to care for.
📍 Need to check for a microchip? Pets can be scanned free of charge 24/7 at one of three scanning stations throughout the county at these locations:
• Roxboro Police Department 109 N Lamar St. Roxboro, NC
• Timberlake Fire & Rescue 350 Ashley Ave. Timberlake, NC
• Mayo Lake Park Pavilion 1013 Neal's Store Rd. Roxboro, NC
You can also have pets scanned at the following local veterinary offices:
• Person County Animal Services
• Woodsdale Animal Hospital
• Roxboro Animal Hospital
• Quail Roost Animal Hospital
• Bahama Road Veterinary Hospital
Please remember to share this post. Every share increases the chances of reuniting a lost pet with its family and helps us manage the growing number of stray dogs in our community.
Together, we can help bring pets home where they belong. ❤️🐶🐱
