With The Style Core – I just got recognized as one of their top fans! 🎉

I received my personal style certification through this California based company!

You don't need to be a stylist to benefit from their classes!

"Your Wardrobe doesn't need more clothes. It needs better clothes!"
I am super excited to share a new opportunity with my clients!

I've partnered with "Vince", known for its sophisticated, modern approach to wardrobe essentials--and I am thrilled to be able to offer in-store styling and fit sessions in the Vince store.

And the icing on the cake--my clients receive a 25% discount when they shop with me at the Vince store at the Roseville Galleria.

But this partnership is much more than a discount. It's about helping you shop with intention — choosing beautiful, versatile pieces that work with your proportions, personal style, and the wardrobe you already own.

As a personal stylist, my goal has never been to simply tell you what to wear. It's to help you understand why something works for you. So you can make confident choices going forward!

Over the next few months, I will be sharing more about Vince and why I chose to partner with them!

Entertainment for your Monday🧘‍♀️😎

What’s your personal style?

Modern, Classic, Casual, Edgy?

Which outfits, if any appeal to you?

Fabulous style begins when the clothes you are wearing; fit! I have logged 100s of hours in the fitting room and I know the biggest issue for women, is achieving a solid fit!

That is why my in-person style services start with the measuring tape! I measure each client in the fitting room, and recommend retaking your measurements at least once a year or when you have gained or lost weight.

Seriously, I am going to spot the fit issues that you will not notice! And advise against it, or suggest possible alterations! But what I’m not going to do, is talk you into buying a piece of clothing when it is not right for you!🤔😯

Now tell me which outfits you like and why or the ones you don’t like and why!

Have a happy Monday🧘‍♀️😎

Good morning ladies’😎

If you think petite women can’t wear Maxi I would have to disagree with you! Short women can wear maxi length dresses., it comes down to the style of the dress and the proportions.

This dress works because the sweater creates a horizonal break in the silhouette! And this creates 1:2 proportions making the leg line appear longer than it really is.

It really comes down body balance and horizontal markers that break up the body can either create length or shorten it! And every body is different and unique in some way, so these are general tips not written in stone and may not apply to everyone in the same way.

I am a certified personal stylist offering color and wardrobe services with a specialty petite sizing to women—located in Roseville and serving women in the greater Sacramento area.

Measure Up—The Secret to a Better Fit
It has never been more important than in today’s retail environment to know your numbers!

What a Size Chart Can Do
1) Help Determine the Appropriate Size
* Bust/Chest
* Waist
* Hip
* Inseam
* Shoulder width, Sleeve length, or Hem length

2) Comparing Your Measurements Across Brands
We have no sizing standards in the US, and many brands have extended the size range at either end. But comparing your measurements to a brand's size chart helps determine which size to choose.

3) Identifying Potential Fit Problems Before Buying
* Bust measurement is outside the garment's recommended range
* Hips require a larger waist than the hips
* Inseam is too long
* Sleeve length is too long

What a Size Chart Cannot Do
1)Determine if the Silhouette of the Garment will flatter your body
A size chart can't tell you how the garment will look on your body. It cannot tell you whether a garment will create a flattering shape on your body!

2) Where the Garment Will Break
Two women can have the same waist measurement but very different measurements elsewhere.

3) Balance and Visual Proportion
This is a big one for styling. A garment can technically fit, according to the measurements, but still make the body appear shorter, wider, longer, or visually unbalanced. In short, while a size chart is useful, it cannot determine whether a body is short-waisted, long-waisted, or balanced. Nor can a size chart determine where you carry your weight, which is a strong factor in style development.

I put together a chart of "fit" areas that may be helpful when checking a garment's fit. These are the types of fit issues I look for in the fitting room, and you may find them useful.

Fashion Over a Certain Age: Modern, Not Trying Too Hard

Fashion can become a little tricky as we get older. Even if you’re in the best shape of your life and can run circles around women half your age, wearing styles that are considered too young can sometimes make you look like you’re trying too hard.

The goal isn’t to dress your age—it’s to dress in a way that feels current, confident, and authentically you.

The trick? Keep your style modern, but don’t let the trends wear you.

Here are a few tips to strike the right balance:

1. Opt for classic styles.
Classic pieces don’t go out of style—and that’s a good thing! A beautifully cut blazer, well-fitting trousers, a great pair of jeans, a crisp shirt, or a simple dress can serve as the foundation of a modern wardrobe. Just because something isn’t “trending” doesn’t mean it isn’t stylish.

2. Incorporate trends thoughtfully.
You don’t need an entirely new wardrobe every season. Instead, introduce one or two current elements into what you already own. Try a trending color, a fresh silhouette, an updated shoe, or a contemporary accessory.

3. Avoid piling on the trends.
Wearing multiple trendy or statement pieces at once can quickly make an outfit feel like you’re trying to prove you’re “in style.” Choose one focal point and let it shine.

4. Pay attention to fit and proportion.
This is one of the easiest ways to make your wardrobe look current. An updated silhouette, and clothing that fits your body beautifully can make even classic pieces feel fresh.

5. Don’t confuse youthful with young.
A youthful style, doesn’t mean mini-skirts, bare mid-sections, or tight-fitting clothes. Looking vibrant, polished, and current comes from choosing clothing that reflects your personality while working with your proportions, coloring, and lifestyle.

6. Let your personal style lead.
Lastly, trends should be an option—not a requirement. If a trend doesn’t feel like you, skip it. The most stylish women aren’t necessarily wearing the latest trend; they know what works for them and why.

Remember: Style has no expiration date.
The goal isn’t to look younger. It’s to look current, confident, and fabulous at the age you are.

Stripes are trending! From bold solids to colorful prints, stripes are showing up everywhere—on trousers, dresses, tops, and shirts.

But stripes aren’t just a fashion statement—they can also influence how the eye sees your proportions.

Vertical stripes guide the eye up and down the body, creating a visual sense of length and a longer, more elongated silhouette. They can be especially effective when you want to create a streamlined appearance.

Horizontal stripes move the eye across the body, adding visual width and breaking up the length of an outfit. They can be a great way to emphasize a particular area or create balance between proportions.

And don’t overlook the scale of the stripe. Wide, bold stripes make a stronger visual statement, while finer, more closely spaced stripes tend to feel more subtle.

The key is to choose the direction, scale, and placement of your stripes intentionally—because the way a pattern is positioned can change the entire silhouette of an outfit.

Stripes aren’t just a trend. They’re a styling tool!

While trends come and go—fab style never does! My blueprint for style success is personalized with recommendation specific to your bodies unique characteristics. You can 🛑 questi🤔ning your choices and start 🛍️ing with intention.😯😎
